Tom.

First off, thank you for your service and duty.

I was born in Warrington many moons ago at Burtonwood base hospital. My son, who is in the US Army National Guard is getting ready to be deployed to Iraq for 10 months in November on his first tour. You two sound similar in your approaches to life. Always there to lend a hand and look out for your buddies. Others come first.
Like you he also has a passion for LFC.

I'm sure your determination will see you through this. It won't be an easy road to travel but one your family and friends know you will. All those you've helped along the way won't always tell you that they've drawn strength from your thoughtfulness and courage, but they have. And they know you'll make the very best out of this in whatever way you can.

Best wishes and all the best in your recovery and through these trying times.

My Dad has been out in Afghanistan and I know what it is like to be out there from what he has told me, I do not agree totally with the war and the reasons behind it, but I admire your bravery and that of other soldiers inmensly. Get well soon mate. You'll Never Walk Alone
