Yep. In fact as of this moment (before the rest of this weekends games) only 3 players have scored more goals from open play in the Prem this season - Tevez, Berbatov and Carroll. So that should shut up those clowns who say Torres has lost it or been crap this season. I should also note that Torres could have taken at least 3 penalties this season in Prem games to add to his goals tally but did not do so.

It is quite clear though that Dalglish has galvanised the whole team who are creating many more chances per game, this should result in an upswing in Torres scoring rate (and indeed other players) for the remainder of this season. If this occurs, then this will categorically prove that Hodgson's tactics were limiting Torres (and the teams) scoring opportunities.

I said it before ill say it again, a change from hodgson to dalglish and we were going to see a big change in nando. Same happened at chelsea with drogba when they changed from scolari to hiddink, nando was being used a battering ram now he is being used to his best attributes and has a manager who believes in him and who he believes in too.

Btw the king, i thought his post match comments regarding the nando of old was a joy to hear, totally shut up the bellend working for sky.

I stand by what I said. The evidence is not the fact that he scored a practically open goal with his left (and was at risk of hitting it over, btw), but when played through and dribbling against to Wolves defenders for what could have been another goal he tried to force it onto his right foot rather than cut to the open left. Further evidence is that he makes more runs towards the left corner of the field than the right, because he prefers to bring it in on his right foot than to take a chance on his left. Being one-footed doesn't mean the left is just for standing on - it means that when offered a choice of right and left and when left is the better option, the one-footed player will choose the right foot because they trust it more.

No, Messi doesn't have a preference for which foot. He may be better one one foot than the other, but he plays the ball as it falls - he doesn't force it on to his favoured foot. Most players, however, do.
