Said it before, will say it again, if you're a legend for being a bit of a prick, crashing your car and saying 'I didn't like it anyway', generally being a lazy twat most of the games you play, disobeying the manager over and over again, but scoring the occasional decent goal, then he's a legend.

Personally, for all the people who say they think he's a legend or that they'd 'love him here' (what the fuck?) I'd rather have an Alonso or a Suarez instead thanks. They become legends because of their efforts on the pitch and attitude off it. Not by being collosal bell ends on and off it.

And before anyone gets a tit on and says 'oh lighten up' I'm not on about this incident, just the lad in general.
Legend? Even in the context of the word being used for a 'funny' fella, he's not even that. He's just a bad, bad bell end.

I can only imagine Carroll doing that, he'd be slaughtered on here for doing the things 'Mario' has done so far. In fact, he DOES get slaughtered for far less.

I'm amazed this story is still running - seems pretty obvious to me he thought the whistle had gone. In normal circumstances you'd want a striker to put the ball away in case it wasn't but this was just a pre-season friendly, so it hardly matters. Can't believe he's getting stick for this.

The incident was hilarious. A lot of Brazilian players act like this, and when they do it, it is seen as "flair". Watch some of the Santos match highlights with Neymar and Robinho in it, it's much much worse than what Balotelli did. He thought it was offside, and it was a meaningless friendly anyway.

That said, he has a reputation and he has to act as a professional in and out of the games. Especially, during the official games.

As for talent, he is nowhere near Adriano. Adriano might have turned out a lazy bum, but in his prime, he was massacring teams right left and center. Balotelli has never done that. A lot of hype, but little to show for as of now.
