How about a whistle protest for the Arsenal game?.....
« on: June 17, 2010, 10:08:16 PM »
Imagine twenty thousand blowing whistles all through the game, live on sky ruining the comentary? Those vevuzlas (sp?) are difficult to get into the stadium a whislte in your pocket, down your pants, in your sock not so easy to stop?

Then telling the yanks and Sky its going to happen at every home and away game we are on TV?

 :o
On April 15th, 1989, 96 people went to watch their favourite team play and never came home. With families grieving, the S*n newspaper printed lies about the survivors, and has never apologised.

How about we barricade the roads up to the stadium, stopping all from entering? I guess that would be too radical though. Whistle blowing it is then.

doesn't this go against the spirit of sportmanship?  nice idea tho... could end up with the ref abandoning the game with the confusion and we'd be in the krap.. grrr can't win can we?

a big huge 100 metre long banner stretching all the way from one end of the centenary to the other be cool. unless the centenary can be pursueded to sing along for 90mins with the kop non stop so the cameras can hear chanting protests. and the paddock and the main stand.

Ahem...

Surely doesn't have to be something people wear to get attention - maybe making noise would make us harder to avoid.

How about everyone takes a whistle?  Annoying as fuck - impossible to ignore - cheap to buy (most people may have one already at home).

40,000 whistles would make a racket - market it as 'Blow Full Time on the Owners'?

Don't mind this at all. Although we have a paradox: if people are boycotting, how are we going to whistle? Unless we whistle from outside the ground  ;D

It could be our rallying call, thousands of whistles at kick off, even if its just for a minute against arsenal or just before half time or whatever, it would grab headlines all over the world, much easier that the vavulas (or whatever they are), almost impossible to stop them getting in the ground and would upset sky no end.............................. We could get it going at the July 4th rally, thousands would catch on with the idea, could make the news even before the first game, and we can do it at away games, we could spread it to the USA and tie in with their teams over there, maybe (not to cause too much FA trouble) one minute after kick off each half and one minute before the nd of each half?????

Right now we want to bring attention to ourselves and the plight our club is in... if they stop the match SO WHAT!!!! One game, three points, or our club going down the drain? You do the math!

July the fourth, our whistling independance day, NEW OWNERS OR DISRUPTION AT EVERY SKY GAME!!!!!

SKY could hit them in the pocket for us!

How does wearing a Norwich scarf piss off the Glazers?  It doesn't.

It makes our frustrations impossible to ignore though - which is what Sky and the majority of the media have done so far.

It's a great idea. Remember the justice chants in the FA Cup a couple of years ago, also against Arsenal? Even Thierry Henry was moved to mention it, it was so effective. It could not be ignored. Even the commentators had to acknowledge it.

The only issue I see is getting enough whistles in the ground, getting the word out to bring them. And people who do know being arsed to bring them, as obviously apathy is a big issue, and people would actually have to go out their way to get a whistle (I know, it's no big thing, but some people...)

Grabbing onto to Terry's excellent idea, but simpler, perhaps a chant, that can be started by a core and grow is the way to go? Something that cannot be ignored, cannot be misinterpreted?

To the same tune as 'Justice for the ninety six', something like "yanks out, reclaim our club' (I'm no wordsmith, obviously) for the first 15 minutes of every game...do it at home, it will catch on there and away.

Or maybe I'm chatting bollocks.

mate it's not about ruining the game, it's about raising awareness getting some news coverage, getting the word out, doesn't have to be all game just at the start and end of each half would do that coupled with somthing like the "blowing full time on corrupt owners" banners.

Thousands of whistles outside the stadium is a better idea.  I know its easy for me to sit a few thousand miles away and call for a boycott but I do think that will turn heads as long as people know its a boycott and maybe, just maybe the last straw in getting RBS to call in their loans and forcing the Yanks to fuck off.  I understand that to many people a ST is like a family heirloom but a lot of people seem willing to make such a massive sacrifice and I think it is necessary for people like me to convey my full support to them.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

That's a better idea than the whistle one.

Think the chant (if done) should be different though. Personally feel that chant is for the 96 that were sadly lost.

Would prefer the whole ground to be singing "Get out of our Club. Get out of our Club. You greedy Yank bastards. Get out of our club" or words to that effect for 45 solid minutes.

Football has reached the ninth gate of farce and pathetic, unbelievable trite nonsense. It's supposed to be a game and it's turned into pantomime, hype, quilts and bellends.
