I'm pissed off. Tight game against Barcelona as Liverpool going on into extra time. The dickhead i'm playing against gets the ball and due to having much faster players slip behinds my defenders and runs on the left wing. So I take control of my nearest defender and have him mark the player who he would inevitably cross to. So he crosses the ball in but it is close to my keeper who can grab it easy except for one thing. Another defend near the keeper under AI control runs to get the ball and slides it into the net by accident causing an own goal. The dickhead ends up winning due to the AI  :no

The AI's given away penalties for me, just by randomly sliding into tackles in the box.. Seriously fucking annoying when it does that. You turn off the auto-switching and all the annoying interfering things the game does, and it still switches away from the perfect defender at a corner to some twat a million miles away who can't possibly get near it.

Seriously, can you not go 2 goals up anymore without some douche hitting the angry button?  Fucking hell there was still 20 on the clock to play.

I enjoy a 4-4-2 with one of my central midfielders just patrolling the halfway line. My two strikers, in Manager Mode, are Benzema and Suarez. The two of them rip teams apart!  :lickin

Nope, and if you score in the last minute they'll do everything they can to fuck it up.

I got live back last night so I restarted my Liverpool manager mode with latest squad updates.

Sent masses of young players out on loan. Sold Poulsen, A young GK, and Jovanovic! Cancelled Aquilani's loan. Signed that LM from Chelsea Zhirkov. He's been quality at LAM!

When I was trying to find chants, I just found videos that sounded good on youtube and used this site - http://www.video2mp3.net/

After that, just popped the files onto a USB stick and put them on my PS3.

If I had a dollar for every time I had to play Barcelona, Chelsea or Real Madrid, urgh, I'd have a bunch of dollars.

I usually play with Napoli, who are pretty decent for a four star team, but I get completely outpaced on the wings (thanks, Dossena) and keep dropping games. Then we'd hit replay and the guy would just go back to his five star team. If I pick a top side, I'd go up 2 or 3 and angry button ensues.

Also, what is it with people admiring their shit goals in replay? Just skip the damn thing, it's not that pleasing to the eye.

Sick of people going Real Madrid/Barca, and celebrating like a twat if they score against me (usually Napoli or Santos, occasionally Bayern Munich). Pisses me right off when people run round like a knob, then make their way over to the bottom-centre of the screen near the touchline and 'shush'. Get on with the bloody game for fucks sake.

The fun for me is when a game is a close, even contest, perhaps with a couple of decent goals thrown in. I don't see the point in running around like a twat when you score, the fun is in scoring in the first place. There's no need to go on a wind-up for the sake of it (unless I'm playing against one of my mates, of course).

I try to play manual but not sure if I play it 'properly', still learning my trade. Had a guy go off on one on me the other night because I "was boring and playing manual like assisted pinball" or something like that. He was Chelsea and just kept shooting from long range with Drogba & Torres and had the cheek to say that he prefers playing with flair. Beat him in the end with a Meireles goal pretty similar to the one he scored at SB this season :)

I do that sometimes, mostly it's because I know I got lucky the second time and caught the other guy off guard. Players seem to forget it starts off back at 0-0 and fuck around thinking they'll easily beat you, then the previous loser nets a goal or two, original winner gets desperate and plays like a mad man which usually ends up with more goals for the previous loser. By the third game, if the original winner still plays, he's usually back to his better game. As long as they finish and aren't an ass that never bothers me.

What bothers me is kind of like what Jack Ellis said. I have LFC in my username (MOFieldLFC if anyone wants to add me as a friend and get a lesson..or give me a lesson ;D ), so if I play a manc or blue they ALWAYS seem to think they just scored in the Champs league final or something. They don't just celebrate and watch the replay (I don't mind people watching their replays if it was a good shot, but regardless I never press A til they do, don't want them thinking I'm desperate and pissed although I am :) ), but they run to the halfway line to draw out the celebration as long as possible and watch their accidental goal three times, because for some reason they like to show the replay three times on the shittiest of goals.

I turn down other peoples voices as just seeing that they're talking on the screen gets to me, so hearing them say "you shoulda scored you suck" or anything would just get to me and most likely they'd end up winning.

Also, and I'm not trying to sound like I'm an expert at FIFA or anything, but I'm at level 30 or so and in the past ten games I've only conceded 3 goals. I'm sure the majority of it is just getting use to the controls and gameplay, but what has worked wonders for me is constantly controlling the CB anytime they're in my half, and using pressure instead of tackling myself. That way everyone stays in formation and generally do a good job marking, and since most goals are usually scored by my CB's not reacting quickly enough to a forward making a run, I always hold my line but stay behind the last forward (even though it's pushing the line back farther) and sprint in front of him before they make the through pass and run right pass my defence leaving only the keeper left. I don't know if I explained that well, but this has improved my defence x50. Also, if they playing up the wing and going for crosses, still control the CB and just stay about 5FTbehind the player you think they are trying to connect with, using the pressure button to let the LB and RB try to obtain posession. Sure it allows in many more crosses, but this way you're prepared to deal with it instead of hoping you can block the cross. If you don't block it most likely it will switch to a shitty player, or your player won't be ready to do what you want him to do, and in my experience anyway they score many goals that way.

'End match as a draw' shouldn't be in the game. It infuriates me when I batter somebody, have loads of shots, yet it somehow stays 0-0... and they end as a draw. Or, they get 2 players sent off for fouling you as the last man, and then end it as a draw.

If you can play like assisted pinball then that'll be a first! I don't mind cutbacks or LB+Y, I just don't like playing people who play 5 in defence and smack it up front hoping it can bobble through. A bit of manual pass and move is the difficult stuff (which I struggle at but still attempt). Majority of players completely bottle it when they have their defence pressured because they don't trust their manual passing.

I'm overall level 63 and manual level 28. (I'm not that good though, honest).

If anyone wants some unranked games (manual or otherwise) then add Lankey Jay - I need to get used to it again before I ruin my ranked record

Have a go on the practice arena against just a GK. You'll learn how to pass and shoot a lot quicker that way.. That's if you struggled jumping in the deep end
