I'll be buying another shirt for my lil bro tonight, and I'll cajole another mate into buying it. I'm sure you'll get the 700 shifted Jonny.

Absolutely shocking that people are sending their orders back. c*nts of the highest order. Do they think you're a faceless organisation? Might be worth sending them a letter/email to reconsider?

Picture of us from the 11 Street bar in New York City.

Brilliant piccy that mate, I hope you don't mind, I've copied it onto OTK. I've also passed on the suggestion about helping Jonny out if he ends up out of pocket.

Jonny was very circumspect about suggesting that people on here might have reneged on the deal, I have no such qualms: have a long, hard look at yourselves, you shameless bastards. :wanker

Just got two more. Only really need one more for a mate, but I'm sure I'll find a use for the other one.

OK guys, lets sort Jonny out with his money that he has laid out.

Jonny, if you can refer to my post on the previous page, do you think you can get a financial figure by Monday mate? If you can I will sort the paypal account out and post the details in here.

People can then donate £5 into the fund (or more / less depending on circumstance) and at the end of one month we can give that directly to Jonny.  Are you OK with that Jonny.

I would suggest that Jonny then removes from that fund what he is owed (it may be that he sells all of the shirts in the next month with a bit of luck) and then the remainder can go to the Hillsborough appeal etc.

If all shirts are sold in the interim then  Jonny gets his money and the Hillsborough appeal gets a nice little windfall.

If no more shirts sold then we cover Jonny's debt and maybe a little bit over.

If someone wants to do this with me in case they think I will be off with the money then that is not a problem. I guess it is a question of trust really that I will be honourable.

Jonny I was the guy who p.m'd you at the beginning with an offer to warehouse the shirts before you got sorted with Viga, don't know if you recall that.

Anyway guys, lets make sure the man is sorted and not left out of pocket. Jonny's shirt has gone global and brought our situation to the forefront of many peoples mind with questions asked about our situation and raised awareness. If we would have to pay a PR company it would have cost many thousands to get the impact that Jonny's initiative has made.

If anyone has any other input or can think of a better way to get Jonny sorted then lets hear it. The guy put his own money up so lets get it back for him.

Cheers

Anyway - I'm not back in here for long I'm still running about the place like an idiot, but I'll try and get my own stock volumes posted up here later tonight.

Looking for one for my young fella, he's only 5 but is in the 8-10 sizes due to height.

What's left of the YM sizes ? (28"/30")

Well spotted Rich.

Christ knows how I ended up on a page from June and thought it was a recent one.

If I'd have spotted it in June though, my response to the feller would be the same.

Anyone with that mindset and attitude is worrying.

Jonny - shocking that there's a chance you'll be out of pocket. As mentioned by others, if you work out exactly how much you're down by then I'm definitely on for contributing towards making up the difference. Send us a PM if/when you're collecting.

was worrying bout my shirt as they never got back to me regarding payment, but they sent an email today asking me to get a move on so i just re-sent my phone number to them saying they never rang me, and low and behold they have rang me minutes later and payment is sorted, awaiting delivery. absouluty stoked  :) very, very helpful and nice staff.

this thread needs to keep getting bumped, still a need for the shirts, i am continuing to let like minded reds who don't go to any forums know about it and i suggest all RAWKites to try and keep doing the same

an absoulte disgrace johnny has been left holding the baby here

Think Viga haven't got anymore kids' shirts. Jonny had two left from when he took them to the match, but that was a while ago. Get a small one and wait till your lad's older ;)

I normally just browse this forum but I felt compelled to register because of Jonnys situation.

I think its quite shameful that supposed fellow reds make the commitment to buy then back out to leave one of us in it.

It goes against what this club is all about.

Anyways count me in for an extra fiver. Just let us know the details. I've got other mates who bought the shirt they said they'll do the same.

Alright - sorry about the delay again - I swear its not for dramatic effect or whatever, just that I'm flat out trying to get my life outside this back on track.

Right - thanks for all whove ordered and offered support - there's really no need to start any paypal or RAWK whipround (yet!). I'm still confident that we'll get this sorted.

I'm waiting for an updated / more detailed account breakdown from Viga, so bear with me please.

For those who were asking whether better to order from me or from Viga direct - its definitely the latter - its the same amount of £ at the end of the day, and its much. much easier to keep a consistent track on the account that way too - and if we get left with stock then I really want there to be as much transparency about the end value / gap as possible so that if the donation to HJC & SoS is reduced then at least there's no doubt about why - after the effort the last thing i need is any suggestion of improper accounts / use of funds etc.

Gawd bless the lot of yers....

Sorry to ask this, but was just wondering how the sizes came up. Would probably order a couple of XL's, but with Viga being out of stock I'm weighing up a L+XXL. Didn't want to wait for the new stock to come in as one of the shirts is for my Grandad's birthday next friday.

Cheers.

i originally ordered a large but found out that they were quite big so changes the order to a medium, becuase some fella said he was 6ft 2 well built and it was still hanging off him slightly... judging by that i would say the L should be fairly big? I just don't get this, it makes no sense to me.

Surely this shirt is a tangible reminder of the struggle that the fans have had against the owners and also of what can be achieved when people are prepared to work together (setting up a union, getting campaigns underway and sustaining them and bringing about an unofficial club shirt) all of which may have helped contribute to what could be the end of a very bleak part of the Club's history.  Why would you not want to own one?

How many of us would pay £40 for the replica of the '85/'86 kit or the '87/'89 kit because they mark great teams and great periods in the Club's history?  And how many of us who had them from the time regret not keeping them now?  So why is this any different?!

Sure, the recession may have some bearing on it but those people who have cancelled orders or have sent them back have already 'spent' their £20 anyway so why not just fulfil the order?  Or am I being too simplistic?

None of this makes any sense to me, none at all!

Johnny, what you've done is brilliant and you deserve nothing but respect not to be out of pocket and shafted by others who claim to be 'one of us'.  Set up the Paypal so that we can help contribute to the shortfall; I'll definitely contribute mate and maybe once you've broken even we could send some of the shirts to charities who provide street kids with clothes and kids' teams with strips or something?

This shirt will forever show that you were on the barricades when the future of the our club was at stake. Forever a proud reminder that we as fans, the greatest fans in the world (most of us anyway), stood together and fought for what we love.

Absolutely. These shirts will be regarded as rare and collectors items in years to come. In themselves they are worth a bob or two - not worn by the feint hearted. Pisses me off when I found out about the knobs who can't be arsed and don't want them any longer.

It is one thing not buying one, if that is your stance,  fair enough.

But ordering one then not paying for it, that is a shitty thing to do.

But again, even worse, ordering it, paying for it, and returning it because you don't want it anymore. Fuck sake.

I do like my clothes a bit baggy, but I had the tape measure out last night and that XXL seems like it'd be too big in the chest for Lolo Ferrari. I might just drop Johnny a pm about XL's on the off chance he has some spare.

On a side note I see the Cat in the Hat has been replaced with a still from one of the greatest British movies of all time. I remember trying talk to you about that film when we met, but I think I was struggling a bit with my words by that stage. ;)

Hope your well mate, all the best to you and your missus.

:wanker

No worries mate.

Been a bit of a lurker on here for a while but was so shocked to read that people were sending their shirts back that I had to join to post that I've just bought another shirt and will happily donate as well.

Can't for the life of me understand why they would want to or need to send their shirts back. That's really unfair.

Been mentioned before, but......................get one framed up. It'll be a fantastic reminder for years to come. Looking for a different pressie for someone for Xmas, framing costs around £60-£80.

As a little extra, add.........LEST WE FORGET...........as a little inscription.
Been there, done that, getting older, bordering on part timer status. So sad but that's life.

I like that or you could have it put on the back of the shirt and still wear it

Finally got one. I'll be honest I'd put my name down when it all kicked off, but they'd run out at the time, and I'd wrongly assumed they were well away. When I saw the potential predicament the lad doing this was in... well there's just too many reasons why we should all be getting one anyway.
Look forward to wearing mine with pride when it arrives.
