As I said, it's apparent that we haven't convinced people that the tone is correct even BEFORE today. How will burning a flag help bring others on board? Or do we just not care and believe we can do without additional support?

Sounds a bit like timid, premature appeasement of people who might never be any help at all in the first place. The importance of this is being overplayed.

Burn a cloth or don't burn it; whatever. But don't expect anyone to help us but ourselves. In weeks/months this will become a non-story to everyone else. These things have momentum for a time and then fizzle out.

Do what you want; base it on any principle you wish but IMO you'd be foolish to take decisions based on some possible putative help you might get from some currently unknown individuals.

Anyway, as I said the importance (or otherwise) of it is beinmg overplayed
