So that is about 15,000 season ticket holders ringing up to get the password so they can renew online rather than over the phone.

Doubt it is that many to be honest.

got to .tv - go to the season ticket renewal bit, click the forgot password option, they will email you a new password or call 0844 844 2005 to get your password.

The rest i'm not sure as i havent gone through the process yet.  If there's a reciept page print that off, or do a screen grab of the page, ctrl and prtSc buttons.    A bank reciept with a large dent in your savings is the indication enough for me.

My husband has been offered a season ticket for next year (from someone who doesn't want it but doesn't want to give it up fully). Can he return the ticket for any matches he can't make back to the club to be sold or does he need to sell it via an exchange/private sale? Hopefully won't be necessary but wasn't sure.

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Thank you VdM! If ever needed, can tickets like his go on the exchange board on here? Is that what people are selling - season ticket seats they can't use for odd matches? Sorry - have never needed to do this before and couldn't find anything previously posted on this.

As long as the game is sold out then we will have an exchange board on here and he is welcome to use that to sell the ticket.  Where it might become difficult for him is if he is not going to the game as he will obviously need to get the plastic card to and then back from whoever buys it.  Which is fine if its a mate but a bit more worrying if its someone you don't really know

Incorrect its 680 if you renew online and 732 if by post or window app. 25/06 is final date of renewal!!!!

So it's a 15% increase if you don't renew online (and a 100 quid increase)!

Bet you'll see that spread decrease as they get a higher percentage renewing online!

Just renewed online. Never have I felt so down about renewing, it was like selling my soul to the devil, handing my hard earned cash over to those fuckers. But we'll drive them fuckers out of this club before they drive us out.

Most companies now offer a discount for online payment.
thomas cook sport dont?
marks & spencers dont?
asda
sainsburys
tesco

all accept cash everyday to local customers, and charge exactly the same for a "meat pie" online or not?
so why cant i walk up to my teams, ticket office window, and pay by what ever means i have?
its got nothing to do with savings, because my ticket has gone "up"
so were have i saved?????????
what ive found is, theres less people to answer my questions?
not a pop, just seeing as i see it?????????

Rather different those examples as they are selling things that you have to physically take home from the store, but even there Tesco have better deals on, for example, wine, online.  Companies that are offering a service, which is what LFC are effectively doing here; eg utilities etc tend to give a discount for online sales.

My own company, a large distriibution company regularly has better shipping deals for online orders.  It's a straight forward business cost saving. Why pay someone to listen to you and enter what you say into a computer when they can get you to enter it into a computer yourself.

There is a valid discussion to be had about the options that the club offer for renewals, for instance I think it would be helpful for loads of people if you could pay by DD in quarterly installments. Just don't start on the conspiracy rubbish or the it's designed to stop locals nonsense.

To support - to agree with and give encouragement to someone or something because you want them to succeed, especially in their times of need.
To boo - to make an expression of strong disapproval or disagreement against someone or something even when they are top of the league, usually done by gobshites.

thomas cook sport, i can book a european away trip, either online or in store?
why not only online for club merchandise, and is there a price difference between each club "shop"

its a football club, that has a ticket office, i see no reason why anyone cant renew either online or at a window, or by post,or phone? at the price thats quoted?
it stinks, its not looking after all its supporters, and the ticket price has gone up, above what alot of people got ie 7%
and lastly. its supposed to be a game for the people, well it looks like a lot of machines are doing the talking for it?????????????????????????

Agree 100% with you VDM in terms of the general principle, fundamentally you're eliminating an action/activity and therefore a cost out of the business.

In this case though, there is no economic justification for the differential, in fact, I'd consider it extortionate.

I would agree mate, but that's because they've simply swapped the saving for paying early to become a saving for paying online.  The early payment thing has been there as long as I can remember but if forums were around when it was introduced I'm sure there would have been someone on moaning about how it was a tax on those who needed to save a bit longer to be able to pay it.

My guess is that now the principle is established the differential will reduce gradually over the years.

I think they could improve the way they deal with renewals significantly, they should for instance offer DD payments and a method where people can spread the payments over the season.  If we get sidetracked by nonsense like "it is a tax on locals" though then we'll get nowhere.

Yup, even the pay early differential was ridiculous from an economic perspective, only made sense when you were unsure what you could sell, but with a waiting list that stretches to eternity it was stupid (from the clubs point of view)

cant you see were people are coming from, or are being used too make savings/profit.
yet it doesnt reflect that year on year in the prices?

Anyone know if it's possible to move your seat to a different stand and how you go about doing it? Or will they say I have to stay put so they get more money? I want to move from the Main Stand to the Kop, I sit on the Kop for all the cup games and fancy a permanent move, plus the price difference is handy because i'm skint! Cheers.

its a bit difficult now, because of the "online" payment system??????????

before that, when you could renew at a window? you filled in your renewal form as normal, and put in a covering letter? if it was possible to move stands (i did) then they'll contact you, but they charge you the "non-discounted" rate?
as i say, one of the disadvantages of not having a ticket office window sale, is that you cant get any info of anyone????????????????
id go down to the ticket office and argue the case, other wise, write in requesting a stand change an see what they say, good luck?
