Please.

Boxes aren't the money seats any more.

More money to be made from executive seats in the main stand with corporate hospitality.

Boxes don't make as much money per unit area.

Indeed, and I believe the tweet JH retweeted from Peter included plenty about this too - so it won't be something he doesn't know.
Watch out, I'm an FSG mole. No really I am - they planned my existence on here over a year before they bought the club.

The San Francisco 49ers just sold the naming rights to their new stadium to Levis for $220 million. If they can can get that surely we'd be able to get more? The Liverpool name is way bigger throughout the world than the San Francisco 49ers. Crap name though, Levi's stadium.

Err... that would be Levi Strauss, based in San Francisco since 1853. I wish people would think or do a tiny bit of research before spouting the old "Liverpool is a bigger name..." bollocks. If we really are a bigger name than the 49ers (which may or may not be true) there just might be a reason why a company like Levis sponsors the ground.

I wasn't personally advocating executive boxes, I was comparing the 2 options which are
apparently open secrets in the city. If what you say is true(and if Henry has tweeted the same)
either FSG are ignoring the financial sense of that for some reason or the 2 leaked options aren't the
real deal.

So are you saying we're going to be sponsored by Rapid Hardware or Clare's Snooker Tables? Not sure either of those have got £220 million quid like. But they might be able to give us a decent discount on tools and nails for the build. And it's 3 for 2 on the silicone sealant. It seems much more of a winner than Moyes to the Mancs. I'm not certain a free Jimmy "Whirlwind" White solid ash snooker cue will come in handy though.

Seriously though, if we got that sort of dough to buy players and the like, I couldn't give a flying fuck if they call it Anne Summers Anfield and the Rampant Rabbit Anne Summers Road end.. Nobody going the match is going to say "shall we meet up at the King Harry for about half 12 hen?  Give us loads of ime to get over to the Cock Tickler Centenary Stand  before kick off." I might like, but just for a couple of weeks.

Joe Anderson has apparently seen 'drawings' and is 'excited'.  Mentions planning application going in end of July / August.  Could be movement at last.

Sorry mate, is Joe Anderson's excitement worth much?

He sometimes sounds a bit like a dalek when he gets very excited.

Probably the drawings for the next proposed Greggs in town.

I can't see how it would be possible for Joe Anderson not to have seen drawings. Of course he's seen drawings.

Ahh, but he's not just seen them - he's excited. The question is, is he a hard man to excite or does he get worked up about any old tat?

Well, that makes all the difference. That really is interesting then.

One thing about Joe, he's ambitious. He is very serious about what he wants to do with the city. He's very keen on redevelopment and new investment. He wants Liverpool to become the second city of the UK again, and everything he does is driven by that.

I'm not trying to campaign on his behalf here, none of that means he will actually be able to deliver on anything. I'm sure people can make their own judgements on that. The point is, that it is in his interests for this issue to be settled once and for all, but if we were proposing to put up a tin shed with a leaky roof, he'd never let it stand. In that context, his "excitement" makes a little more sense, and can probably be taken as a positive sign.

But I think we've all learned by now to wait and see what actually happens. I'll believe it when it's open and tickets are on sale. Until then, probably safer to keep guessing.

How can a club with our global standing have such a limitation.
