Judging from his post match interview, he'd just necked all 25 prior to giving it.

He was sitting in the gargen while doing so.

Done my right ankle three times. A month to six weeks depending on degree of sprain. But for Rooney, with all the specialists helping the fat bastard, I reckon 2-3 weeks.

I'll be happy enough even if he just misses Chelsea and Bayern at the Toilet.

Yep, and back for Spurs and City. As dirty as that feels.

Hopefully, Rooney is out for the next couple of matches and it can be a catalyst in the Mancs late season demise. Rooney's injury at the last gasp tonight was almost poetic justice considering his Shawcross-esque tackle on Pranjic. On an additional note, I still can't believe Scholes never received a card for maiming Altintop in the first half.

I can't believe Scholes wasn't sent off for the studs on the leg tackle. He wasn't even booked FFS. Try and make it less obvious ref!!

Dirty boy, go and wash yourself ;)

I do feel that the Olic goal may be cruicial, add to the fact that if Robben and Schweinstieger are back they'll have a huge counter attacking threat (although with Ribery and Altintop they argubly already do) but will be assured that they have probably no Rooney to deal with and the players to set up defensively. Still not sure about Zorro at the back for them though!

Get in Bayern - missed the game but caught the highlights, well played for not giving up.

They HAVE to try and get that away goal though and not sit on the lead. If they do, they'll go out.

Would be great if Rooney misses the Chelsea game.

what you mean? It's a scholes tackle as the commentators like to call it. Nothing malice about that. If anyone else had of did it, there would have been an outcry. But not our Paul, no, that was just a scholes tackle

it's possible to chip a bone in your foot if you do the ligaments in your ankle bad enough.I went over on my ankle very similarly two weeks ago in training was on crutches for 10 days in a temporary cast and now I'm in a walking boot for 3 weeks...wouldn't that be a shame

Semi's without any English teams, and hopefully the SKY wankfest over the Premiership being the best in the world, will calm down.

Ah, that turned out to be an enjoyable evening after all. The Allianz Arena was rocking at the end, best atmosphere I've ever experienced there. Didn't know Fathead got injured (was too busy celebrating the goal and the final whistle immediately after that) until I got in and saw the highlights on TV, so that was a nice surprise. It looked like the horrible fatheaded twat had put in a full-on shithouse tackle on Pranjic (which led to the latter going off) from where I was standing - could and should it have been a red?

Also, Gary Neville is a liability these days.

Manc fans were well behaved from what I saw, no knobheads and no nonsense on the way out there or outside the ground, and cowed and subdued in defeat afterwards. :)

Did my ankle before christmas myself  and couldn't weight bear for probably a week myself either so was on crutches for the whole time. Constultant in a & e was convinced I'd broken my ankle from examining it but I'd just done some serious ligament damage and haven't played footy since. Deffo would've been better if I wasnt such a lazy arse/been busy with work and with constant physios etc. it will probably be a minor injury but ankle ligament injuries can be quite severe.
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

That's a great set of photos Phil M.
Van Der Saar looks like he's auditioning for Munch's scream.

(still can't stop humming the Torres song)
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Not sure about that.  Even if it's a mild sprain, or just a twisted ankle, he won't be training for the rest of the week.  He's a big bloke (read: fat fucker) so putting his considerable weight on it is going to be painful.  I think he'll miss the Chelsea game but be fine for the return leg.

Ballague just said on Spanish radio that they think, but it will obviously have to be confirmed tomorrow, that Rooney will be out for ten days.

And that ball bag will know, a spanish journo who mainly comments on spanish teams and players, talking about an English player, playing for an English team in Germany.

The fucking dr's and physios wont know yet so how that twat knows is anyones guess. Me think hes doing his muck spreading again and edging bets, he does it all the time and everyone seems to forget all the shite he gets wrong but remember than once in a while nugget he guesses right.
