Guitar on Aigburth Road................
« on: March 25, 2010, 07:42:26 PM »
........I've driven past this on Aigburth Road a million times and my curiosity's finally got the better of me.  Can any of the south end lads tell me why there is an old acoustic guitar nailed to the wall above William Hill's opposite Lark Lane.  Baffled me for years this has. ???

even those without the concept of toilets form a group and if you're one of them you care about these motherfucking free-shitters and you conform to their norms. Because if you fucking didn't they would send you back into the world of toilet usage.

I think the people who used to live there had quite a lot of jam sessions etc so this may be a left over from that time..  Hope this helps   :wave

Maybe someone made a bet that they could nail a guitar to the wall.

Went better than the time they tried to nail that jelly to the ceiling.

The fact that its opposite Lark Lane may have had some significance, but you may actually be right and you've deduced something correctly for the first time ever ya loone.

Just went past there and the flat above the guitar doesn't look good at all - all windows blocked from the inside, some broken and one with a piece of wood across it... you sure he (or anybody) lives there?

I don't think Hills would be happy to have anyone living above one of their shops.  Security reasons.  I don't think it's got anything to do with the fairly new guitar shop on Eggy Road either.  That guitar's been up there years.

Maybe he's moved out now, then....but it used to show which flat he lived in, so you could go round and get your gear done.

Suppose he doesn't need it, now he's got the shop on the end.
