Poor old Lucas needs a new song.

Shortly after the infamous booing of this lad, the Pepe Reina chant was subtly adapted to Lucas Leiva, imo more out of the need to give the lad some recognition and support rather than the catcalls and booing he'd had to endure.

Now however, this chant simply sounds obscure or even maybe insulting to the lad, whom while maybe not the most talented guy we've ever had, does do his bit for our team.

Even Lucas Leiva clap clap clap would be better than current.

Anyone else agree, and anyone who does, what song do you think he should have

Only fair, but unfortunately he's still the whipping boy for too many twats.

L6 came up with the best one. Tried it once and got punched in the back of the head so I'll silently applaud the young lad in future. But just know Lucas, I'm singing inside!

His pass to Nando in the build up to the goal yesterday was almost as good as his assist for Gerrard against Newcastle a couple of years ago. Hopefully we'll see more of them now that Torres is back and the excellent runs he makes.

What about his final balls to Benayoun and N'Gog against Reading? The only thing Lucas lacks is confidence and strength, and he's not helped by the fact that "supporters" can be such tools. Other fans actually seem to rate him higher than we do. Mark my words, in 2 years, he'll be a top top player.
