Saw Lady Gaga on Wednesday at the Echo Arena not knowing what to expect and only knowing a few tunes, came out of it a fan she put on one hell of a show and had the whole arena bouncing!
I went to that as well, thought she was brilliant

That's a really shitty thing to do, totally out of order.

I've thought about it, but decided, on balance, that I would rather flambe my testicles in kerosene.

Yeah, not best pleased. Lucky in way that when I downloaded the album I thought it was alright, nothing more. Couple of the girls I'm going with are proper pissed off though.

Honestly, I feel like I'm playing poker here.  Still not budging on my Reading ticket, but there's a lot of top names being unveiled everywhere else, and still Meanfiddler hold their cards close to their chest.

Yeah, want to go to Reading but loads of good bands seem to be playing other festivals. The headline rumours imo aren't great, but i've heard Gorillaz might be doing it and my mate has been saying that The Libertines might be reforming and playing it.

If either of them two do it i'll be there in a shot. Been to Reading the last two years just wanted a change this year so going IoW. Brilliant atmosphere usually, and a cracking line up too this year.

Blink 182 and Greenday seem to be the main rumours.  I dearly hope B182 is just made up nonsense.
And I hope that the Libertines don't take a headline slot.  Not liking the slippery slope towards the NME-ism of Reading.  It's a fucking ROCK festival.

I'm going to Leeds if I can get a ticket sorted but it looks like the line up isn't going to be very good.

Blink 182 seems pretty certain at the moment, I tihnk its either Arcade Fire or MyChemical Romance taking the third headline spot.

I agree with that, but I don't think either will headline.  Besides which, we fear the worst every year for Reading, but they've rarely let people down with the three headliners...

2009: Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead
2008: Rage Against The Machine, The Killers, Metallica
2007: Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins
2006: Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Pearl Jam
2005: Pixies, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden
2004: The Darkness, The White Stripes, Green Day
2003: Linkin Park, Blur, Metallica
2002: The Strokes, Foo Fighters, Guns 'N' Roses (Leeds only), The Prodigy
2001: Travis, Manic Street Preachers, Eminem
2000: Oasis, Pulp, Stereophonics

Aside from the 2001 line-up, it's pretty impressive.

My guess, and I'e got my optimist hat on, is The Strokes, Kasabian and Greenday

You missed off 2000 as well. Mundane looking line up full of brit-pop bollocks.

I'd be disappointed if Green Day and Blink 182 were headliners. Two very similar sounding bands, with the former having a far superior back catalogue than the other. So given a choice of one, i'd have to plumb for Green Day.

p.s i dont think it will be the strokes julien casablancas (?) is doing alot of solo gigs this year

I think it was probably right, and expected, for 2000.  Yeah, personally I think 2000 was shocking as well, but it's only in the last 6 or 7 years that Reading/Leeds has taken off and we now expect quality every year.

Yeah, 2005 was class, though I missed Maiden and chose to watch a Bloc Party that night instead.  At the time, it was the right thing to do.

I'm hoping either Alice in Chains or Soundgarden show up, but i imagine if they do, they won't headline. Either way as long as there are some good alternatives to headliners which aren't my cup of tea it'll be fine.
If it's all shit across the board, my ticket's going on fleabay.

Radiohead were pretty amazing last year as well. I'd imagine Pearl Jam would have also been ace.
I've seen one of Casablancas shows on is solo tour. It's actually pretty good stuff. I enjoyed it anyway.

Yeah, he put an album out called Phrases for the Young. he was touring here in December.  I'm not keen on The Strokes, but I was curious for other reasons, so decided to check the show out. I wasn't disappointed. It's a bit more electronic, but it comes off well live.

Bad concert etiquette that and I've seen many people bottled for having a person up there for one song never mind an entire gig.

I don't think I've ever seen a more boring lineup for a festival than V this year.

Yeah, I bet you thought you were in with a chance of the dirty sex!

Some bird once asked me to provide her a shoulder up, and she wasn't even short. I told her to do one.
Low and behold,  she plumped her arse on my friend's shoulders instead. He was shorter than her, the bloody idiot.
I had words with him afterwards, as it's not really on to pay go see a show and have to watch some birds smelly arse for the entire time.
