I'm hoping that Babel didn't type all that, that it's some joker who has set up a Twitter account in his name.  In my heart of hearts I know it's probably him,  this club has gone through enough this week, regardless of who is to blame for that, for Babel to come out with that balls on a public forum basically shows what an absolute moron this kid is.  There probably isn't no way back now and any prospective club are surely going to be a bit wary after this.

Babel isn't pulling in the direction he should be pulling in.  He doesn't want to fight for the badge, he wants to do it all for himself , he isn't a memeber of team.

Fuck him as simple as that.  Personally he has no way back as far as I'm concerned.

reading his twits(?) in context, I'd say they're pretty harmless.

Player wants to play, believes in himself, doesn't quite understand why he isn't playing, has no problem with the manager, is hopeful he will get his chance to shine.

yeah, real controversial stuff.

He shouldn't be putting club matters in the public domain, nor should any player at any club.

meh. It was foolish of him to twit about being left out of the squad.

The rest is harmless and I doubt anyone at the club will take issue with it.

Hahaha, it's pathetic.

No, not Ryan Babel, but the fact that EVERYONE in here is being so hypocritical!

You have a go at him for what exactly...moaning on the internet.. what are all you doing right now?! The exact same thing!

Personally not arsed what he does to be honest, let him sulk, it's only what our Captain has been doing all season anyway.

No you only have to go to the Off Topic forum to see people moaning about having to get up for work or going to work or whatever. End of the day, he's human, he's upset, big deal.

We try to do things a certain way at Liverpool.  In the same week a director is ousted because of his behaviour a highly paid professional, goes and makes his feelings known about being dropped public.  On fucking twitter.

How can you not see this is totally unacceptable.  Especially with all the pressure our club, manager and players are under already.  He knew this would cause another headline in the papers.

He's once again shown his attitude stinks.  Good fucking riddance and the soon the better.

Spot on.

I'm sure many on here aren't too thrilled about the behaviour of their employers but don't go bitching on twitter. Small time 'c' list celeb with a suitably large ego. Show him the door asap.

Interesting that so many people think that he's lazy or not hard-working enough and yet surely he's showing the right attitude - and has done for three seasons now - in at least wanting to play every game. He might be misguided, or foolish, or go about things in the wrong way, but the way he has been treated certainly hasn't helped. Rather be desperate to play every game than play awful for 20 games in a row like the rest of the squad.

Much as my inflated ego may like to wish it, i know what I post on here is unlikely to be on the back pages of the tabloids, however when he put that on twitter that guy knew exactly the reaction his comments would create, Keane used Dunphy and the irish press, he uses twitter, both showed no respect to the club, fans, management and his employers, and one is gone and please god the other is history!

Put this is in the Sanctuary thread, but fits here as well:

Well, speaking of mentality, this was on PTT from a guy named Topper:

'after babels tweet about him not making the squad, he sounded baffled and wronged I tweeted to him:

Me: you never played that great against reading could be the reason. show some passion and get you foot in!

Babel: to get injured again? Ur crazy

Me: thats always a risk but the fans will love u for it

His reply after that was to block me from his updates. That one line shows his heart is not with liverpool, he will never give 100% he can fuck off for all I care.

This is a true story happened earlier today.'

whether its true or not, thats the opinion most of us have of him anyway. spineless shithouse that doesnt realise just cos yer sign for a big club, doesnt make yer a top player. doing it an improving yer weaknesses make yer a top player. although the question id like answering is, if yer aint got footy savvy, is it something yer can learn ?

Maybe because we are competing for 7th place with them and Benitez doesn't want to be left with egg on his face.

no mate the drama queen was on twitter, he wasnt sold to brum because he refused to go! All he wants is the trappings that come with playing in the prem, without actually working on his game to be a better player, if he bust a gut on the pitch and played for the badge i couldnt give a shit about the modern day c list idol shit, but when he plays like he could not give a dam then these diversions in his life become important to the fans who pay for his lifestyle!

He refused Brum. We didn't refuse to sell him. The decision not to go to Brum was Babel's, not the Club's. They can't hold him at gunpoint and force him to sign a contract.

This isn't the first time he's been a public 'gobshite' and it won't be the last time, either. The thing is, though, he hasn't even got the intelligence to know that his gobbiness is completely detrimental to himself and puts a dampener on any argument he may or may not have against the club.

If the team below is correct as some are saying then Babel might as well pack his bags cause if he cant get ahead of bloody Degen or fab then seriously he might as well demand to leave.

                           Reina
Carra       Skrtel          Kyriagos         Insua

Degen         Masch        Lucas            Aurelio

               Kuyt        Ngog

looks like the team is correct.

If i was babel I would consider leaving big time.

You know what? I don't give a shit about the ethics of bitching about his treatment on Twitter, or the reasons behind his move to Birmingham not happening.

All I care about is we're playing a bunch of motivated cloggers who sense blood in an hour, without an injured Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun. Ryan Babel is currently a Liverpool FC player, an attacking player no less and fit to play. So I'm incensed that he's not even in the squad.

The club desperately need 3 points more than Rafa needs to prove a point.

If you have the same talent for judging players as you have for talking shite, then Babel really is a poor player.

Twat!

I didn't realise the King of Norway was back. Where've you been? Have you stopped supporting AC Milan now?

Were you busy following the 'phenomenon' Djibril Cisse around shit teams of Europe. Spent a lot of time telling us he was brilliant didn't you? How did that turn out? He's still shit isn't he....never mind.  Or Harry Kewell. Loved him didn't you? We're still waiting for the humble pie that you told us we'd eat over him. Or what about Torres.....I think you said that he'd struggle and only score 9 goals. You really can judge a player.

Now the King of Norwegians is telling us Ryan Babel is good. That's not really good news for poor old Ryan is it? Unequivocal proof that he's not up to it.

Regardless of whether babel is good, the real issue is that he has been left out the squad when there is no alternative.

Liverpool will probably win today, kuyt may score and so to might lucas and we will learn nothing and lose the following.

If things go bad today who we going chuck on, it would be harsh to chuck a player like pacheco on and expect him to be the saviour.

From The Times
January 16, 2010
Tony Barrett

''Rafael Benítez is attempting to set up a swap deal with Sunderland that would result in Ryan Babel and Kenwyne Jones exchanging clubs.

Babel was left out of the Liverpool squad for Saturday’s match against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, a decision that baffled the winger and led to him venting his frustration on Twitter, the social-networking website.

By the time Benítez had named his travelling party, however, he was already working on a deal to take Jones to Anfield and allowing Babel to move to Sunderland in return. A permanent deal is the most likely option but a loan swap is also being considered.''

i was pissed off about xabi leaving but do you know what, fair play to xabs because he thought,if you dont value me,im off(i actually believe he was valued highly but rafa didnt have enough money for both barry and xabi so had to choose).
However, its blatently obvious rafa wants rid of bbel, and the fucker wont go....babel breaks liverpools number one rule.posession!....posession is king....and his ball control is shit.end of!!
he might get you the odd spectacular goal but thats it.
he tells tales outside of school(when he should keep things in house the liverpool way)
his head is up his arse and if he has any chance of making it big in the game,he needs to move on and start a fresh....before he damages his reputation so much that no one will have him.FFS

We can talk about potential till the cows come home. Babel hasn't performed when called upon, and his attitude and passion are shit. He should have a few one-on-one sessions with Kyrgiakos.
If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing.

Jones would be useful. Carra would love him.

Hahaha. Was that the best you could do?

I'll tell you what, I'd take Kewell and Cisse any day both up front and out wide instead of the four players we fielded there yesterday.

Oh, and "I think" you're taking the piss here.

I often rate players with abilities, rather than players who tackle the ball 40 yards up in the stand. I also often defend players who are at the recieving end at utter, utter shite from some people on here.

I rated Cisse, yes, and defended him enought for getting an obvious reputation about it.

I defended Kewell for being a footballer with brain. Same as I do with Lucas nowadays.

For the record, I think Babel never ever has shown anything near what he may or not may be capable of. He's so frustrating. And he's got a long, long way to go before I rate him as a good player, rather than a wasted talent.

BUT AT LEAST HE HAS THE CAPABILITY OF ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING, insted of the boring workhorses we put out there nowadays. Babel at his best is a handful for anyone.

That's why.
