Well there we go.  Fucked.  Well played Australia.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Me too. I always knew it was. I am like fucking Nostrademus these days. I said it will be more than 200 less than 400. Everything I have been calling has been perfect, just that its not all good for an Indian fan :). Anywho, I would just like to see some fight till I feel sleepy :)

Edit: I was actually in two minds shall I watch that Gomis video someone put up, as I thought if I watch it, it might be 5 wickets before I switch back. Because I cared for this test much, I stopped that video and switched to cricket, and it was 5 wickets. Fuckety fuck.

Unfortunately at work again so have to put up with cricinfo ball by ball commentary and Rawkite's pearls of wisdom.
Am I right in assuming that the pitch is dead but playing the occasion trick?

From my vantage point on the 26th floor high above the Sydney CBD I can see the thunderstorm rolling over the blue mountains. My prediction is it will rain in an hour and half, and rain really hard. This win his not secured just yet.

EDIT - Just as I say that Hilfy strikes again!

It's lost its carry a bit and batting is fairly easy. There was a period in there where India looked quite comfortable until Pup got Sachin before the new ball which was massive because with the new ball shortly after it brought back a bit more of that bounce and carry and has just produced a couple of wickets, so where not long ago Richie was talking about the possibility of Calcutta revisited a win is now a sure thing.

Thanks mate. Whenever two batsmen are set, the ball is old and the quicks are tired the pitch is bound to look a little flat. It's amazing how a deck suddenly springs to life after a wicket and the new cherry.

I think that it's all over now. Doubt there is any way back from here.

Ashwin is India's second top scorer in the series.  Says it all.  And Ishant has gone as I type this.

Ha ha, worse I was going to type, this is what I want to see, some fight, but then thought I would jinx it. Turns out thoughts not actions can jinx stuff too. Anyway, Ashwin is decent, I wish he was a better bowler though, some really poor bowling and equally poor field setting when he bowls. If India go home 0-2 I would be right happy. Doesnt look like that though.

Think he is a good bowler who really hasn't had any decent conditions or field settings to work with.  Dhoni's field placement has been very very poor.

Dhoni needs to ask himself if he really wants to lead this team. And if the answer is yes, then fucking lead it. He is following the footsteps of a leader Tendulkar rather than a leader Ganguly as far as test cricket is concerned. But I am not upset yet, as when they won the world cup I said I will take absolute bullcrap of cricket for at least one more year.

And that's a wrap. All out for 400. That summary montage thing they had at the end of the coverage was boss.

The new ball that's just been taken should get the breakthrough the saffers need to start the end of this match.

Clarke, unfortunately, wins test matches :( Although, they are against India so do need to be taken with a massive pinch of salt.

Well played Thilan Samaraweera, 5000 Test runs at 53. Back to his limpet-like best after he was shot in Lahore. Which seems understandable now I've written it down.

Now that there's a new elected head of Sri Lanka Cricket let's see if he can persuade Sangakkara back to the captaincy.

Just seen this on the cricinfo site.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4MmzZYbZYA&feature=youtu.be
Very underrated post. Quality catch, but why is the commentary 'box' on the side instead of behind the bowler?

Clarke > Ponting.

Ponting is way passed it.

The man just made a century when we were 3/37 following 60 and effectively match-winning 62 when we were 4/27 in the Melbourne test. 5 scores of 60+ from his past 8 innings. Yeah he's passed it...
