Liverpool - family loved it
« on: November 15, 2009, 11:00:42 PM »
I have always come up to anfield with friends and gone into town on the beer as soon as weve arrived, then gone and watched the game then back on the beer to a pub or club before retiring to bed. Always enjoyed it.
Last week i took the family up and found out that the city has so much more to offer, stayed at the Novotel which is right in the centre, brand new so it had some teething problems but still a lovely hotel, right opposite Liverpool one shopping centre which the missis loved, it has about 20 nice restaurants to cater for all tastes.
Went on the duck tours which was great fun, tate gallery which was o.k as i'd never done it before and a walk around the docks and shops there.
Went and did the mini tour with the museum which they also enjoyed and did the buy again from the club shop.
The family thoroughly enjoyed it and anyone thinking of going do it.
Thought id just share that with you

From 21st November, there will be a couple of hundred penguins scattered all over the city, painted in all kinds of designs.
Very much like  the Superlamb banana from last year.

Come on over, bring your camera, and do the penguin pubcrawl.

Twill be great fun...... hic.....burp.

I bet we were all thieving scouse twats again when you were back in the pub in Kent!

Seriously though, nice to see someone coming to the city and praising it.

Went to the arena to watch the WWE wrestling, forced to attend by two of my daughters and their friends. Coming out the arena, asked them to stop and look at our GREAT CITY!

I brought my parents and fiancee over for the Macca concert at Anfield last season, was my 'rents first time over and they absolutely loved the place and more importantly, the people.  We stayed for three nights and they didn't wanna go home!

Yellow Submarine does sound like a small town!
Been all over the world but Anfield is still my home.
