Stick Aurelio in as well, although Insua hasn't done much wrong, and you have three of our most talented and technical players back into the first team. We will get better.

Why is there so much faith in Aquilani, a player in a new league and culture, who has been injured for the best part of 6 months?

If we're relying on him to be a major difference then we're in bigger trouble than I thought.

It amazes me at times how one result can cause this place to plunge into a war zone, with running battles in post match threads. The normal level headed people trying in vain to instill some pragmatism into the hoard of beauts who only ever log on in the wake of a reverse defeat, to peddle their bullshit which they attained from the sky sports school of fucking whopperism. The lunatics are slowly but surely taking over this asylum I fear.

We're 8 games in, and already theres talk of surrender. It's baffling. I said earlier in the post game thread that the kneejerking has gone to new levels. Last March we won 4-1 at Old Trafford, the gap was cut to 7 points with less than 10 games to go. We were in the thick of a title fight. There were threads springing up by the hour, telling us all to believe, and that anything was possible. Yet here we are, a mere 6 points behind, with 30 games left, and its time to throw in the towel according to some people. Maybe its me, but I just find that whole notion bordering on total lunacy.

Its early October for fuck sake, the roller coaster that is the 09/10 season has barely pulled away from the platform, and already its doom and gloom. We play Utd in 3 weeks, they then visit Chelsea 2 weeks later. Its not beyond the realms of possibility for Liverpool to actually be top of the table going into November, which is a mere 4 weeks away. And we still have Aquilani's debut to look forward to, along with Aggers return. Roll on October, Im with you on this one Sarge, theres much to look forward to, and much to look forward to in the months after October. I'm strapping on my belt and I intend to enjoy the ride all the way to the 9th of May

Whilst I am pissed off tonight, in a day or so I will be looking forward to the Sunderland game, looking at the fixtures ahead.
It always feels like the end of the world when we get beat, but there is always a result like 1-4 at Old trafford around the corner.

Thats true. Its much akin to putting so much faith in new posters, posters on a new board with a different culture, who have been waiting to register for the best part of 6 months. If we're relying on the likes of you to be a major difference on here then Rawk is in bigger trouble than I thought

Maybe because he's actually a quality player that we are lacking in the first 11? Oh, and a massive improvement over Lucas? I dunno. What do you think?

No Killer Skrtel and Danny.

Nah, Skrtel has been shit. The big greek brings us some proper height, aerial ability and cynicalness to the defence. We certainly need it.

Plus he looks shit on the ball, but with Agger and Aurelio to his left, he can at least get the ball to them, rather than currently when he shits himself with the ball, tries to pass it to Carragher only for him to be met with Carragher shouting "No please god no"

Can't agree with that after Skrtel's performance today.  He looked solid.

I think he and Danny could make a great partnership in the future so we should start playing them together as soon as possible really.
