Surely they could have just cancelled all the United tickets that had been bought today, I know it would have been a pain with all the payments that had gone through but I'm sure it was an option.  Will feel sorry for anyone that misses out now with the credit on their card.  I would have understood if mine would have been cancelled even though I have the credit.

Is the online sale at 8.30 as usual. Wouldn't see why otherwise as the TO don't actually have much to do with it.

To be honest I cant see what all the fuss is about with todays balls up. Fair enought if they had droped the the clanger when the game should have been at the 7 needed at the start. But the guys that are complaining are the ones with only 1 game on their fan card this season (and obviously less than 7 from last). That means they have only gone to 25% of the games so far this season, and less than 37% of the games from last season!

My point is simple, make the effort, get yourself down to more games and the problem of having to wait for the pre req's to drop down to ONE game is eradicated  ;)

Not the point though. It means that someone who went to 6 last season (on their members card) and missed one of the 2 pre req's this season might not get a ticket after having waited for the latest sale, while someone who has never been to a game in their life may get one.
If the rules are set they should be adhered to. Don't make excuses for the abysmal incompetence of our administration staff. This kind of balls-up happens far too much.
To support - to agree with and give encouragement to someone or something because you want them to succeed, especially in their times of need.
To boo - to make an expression of strong disapproval or disagreement against someone or something even when they are top of the league, usually done by gobshites.

You've obviously not understood the difference between the 'Members Sale' and 'General/Member/Fancard Sale' for this game. Two completely different sales. The loyalty of 7 games was for the members sales and was games from last season. The general sale was based on 2 games from this season.

Someone may have had 3 games this season (Stoke, Burnley and Hull OR AV) and still missed out to someone who's NEVER BEEN to Anfield.

Another royal cockup from the TO
Too many fucking drama queens in here - if the arl arses had their way we'd be pushing burning tyres down Anfield Road.

Not sure where they would be legally with that one as once they had accepted an order they probably entered into a legally binding contract. Probably more hassle than it was worth to get involved with that for them considering the small amount of tickets online.

Yes I agree, not sure there was that many online anyway.

This is complete rubbish as you could have been to 6 games from last year and every game this season apart from Hull or Villa?????

So if this had happened at the beginning of the members sale it would have been a travesty, but because those who got stitched are apparently not regulars it's not that big a deal? FYI, It's possible to have gone to 2 games this season and still have had priority over someone who went to 3. It's also possible to have attended more than 7 games last season and due to some games not being recorded on FC have to wait for the general sale.

But this isn't about who's been to how many games. This is about the TO not sticking to their selling criteria. Those with 1 of the required 2 games were next in line and waiting patiently for their turn to buy tickets, and somehow tickets got sold to anyone.

£15m? It seems low, but what people have to remember is that the fee is irrelevant.

To be fair, i think the ticket office has been spot on so far this season. So what if they cocked it up a bit? They have 4 sales on at the same time! ANyone who had both credits should have been sorted by now anyway.

Why don't you apply for a job there? You might as well send in your CV. Surely its better than sitting around on your elbows all day?

You need to watch it mate. I didn't have both like so many on here I only had one and expected a fair announcement regarding further sales.

As for sitting around on my elbows all day - thanks for the advice. If only I'd thought of that. :tosser

its been too easy to get online and website is running a little too fast to think there is a couple of hundred battering it for a 8.30 sale.

as some have said though, online sales is controlled by another company, but i wonder is the ticket office responsible for activiting the sales, on sales day!! if so probably not until 9.15
