We are complaining about referees with mssrs Bennet and Riley yet to get their mitts on our games.

Bennett has finished and Riley is "moved upstairs".

If he's on that list he's still officiating. He's going to be doing what Keith Hackett does for cricket

I sent an email to several American newspapers the other day with regard to United getting away with things, unfair FA rulings, penalties and such like, citing Rafa's list of complaints from last year.

Got a reply from the editor at the NY Times who says that the 'rub of the green' they get is very similar to what happened with the NY Yankees.  He said he wasn't aware of the circumstances surrounding my letter but will look into it.

I hope he does.  American journo's will have much more luck into covering this from an impartial angle.

Graham Poll was on Australian football show called fox sports fc tonight.

They talked about Old Trafford and he admitted in his first game there he denied a clear penalty and realised straight after he cocked up, simply because of the pressure of Old Trafford.

Graham Poll said that?

And this the man who is now fronting the Daily mail's new anti-diving campaign.

I couldn't believe the first paragraph, using that shining beacon of all that is good in the game, the hardshoulder shitting bastard old baconface himself. lost all credibility from there on in.

Apparently Lucas didn't dive for our penalty(?) at Bolton, but should have got a card for insisting that Davis got sent off and Nando did dive to try and deceive the ref.

All the johnny foreigners dived but that saviour of football the "white Pele" was savagely attacked by the nasty foreign
asylum seeking goal keeper.

they have whipped up the hysteria so much that a whole thirteen people have responded.

those people were scared off by the distress chatter and the organised internet terrorism campaign that was directed against people involved.

Good idea (something needs to be done about it) but what would happen if Lampard, Terry, Ballack, Cole and Dropba are all sin-binned at the same time? Chelsea down to six men - game abandoned. 3 points awarded to the opposition?
Nope, alter the rules and the games carries on. Each time the opposition score, one of the players sin binned can come back on.

No let them forfeit the game. The only way to eradicate surrounding the referee is to have sanctions that bite. If Chelsea lost a game by default because they did not control their players it would send the clearest message that it is completely unacceptable and that the game's administrators have the bollocks to implement the rules. It would be one of the best things to happen to the game in a long time - as long as it also stuck at Old Trafford.

I'd love for a player or manager to do the unthinkable and physically attack a referee and call him an inept, cheating c*nt on camera.
Oh wait, Chelsea did that last season.

Yeah, that would send a message, and to be honest I'd love that to happen. In fact i'd love any rule change regarding this to start sorting it out, but it'd never happen. What you'd get is this "hypothetical" situation

A team, lets call them Burnley just for names sake, go to the Toilet. They are hanging onto a well deserved 0-0 draw, it's the 85th minute. They are breaking towards the manc goal, a player... i dunno lets call him scholes for names sake, hacks down the player with the ball and the ref decides that the challenge is ok. To everyone else it's at least a yellow and a clear, cynical foul. Burnley lads aren't happy and surround the ref, 4 of them get binned, game is abandoned. Mancs get 3 points, burnley are further fined by the fa, manager banned for comments after the game. Next week the mancs travel to spurs, same thing happens, but this time it's the mancs that surround the ref, ref sends rio to the sin bin, leaves the others alone even though rooney has walked into the crowd and shagged the refs mum in front of him as retribution. Mancs get awarded a late penalty because giggs sneezed but the ref thought that it was perter crouch kung fu kicking vidic to death......... you see where i'm going with this...

Inconsistencies....that's what i'm saying.
