Can they be a force to be reckoned with this season? I know it's early days yet, but ever since they've picked up Wilson Palacios in January they've looked like a different team. With no European games to distract them, I think they may actually challenge the top four teams for league positions. What say you?

Think they'll be in the top 6, possible challenging Man Utd and us for 4th place, what with us both being out of the title race now.

They've spent the last 15 years promising to be good - let's just wait and see.

I suspect Hull are a soft touch this season.

You just gone and jinxed them their spurs and will mess up as usual and lose to the smaller teams in the league.

beginning of the season means nothing at all. they'll probably do enough for europa league but not a top 4 team.

palacios is a big player for them, makes a lot of difference.

They've matched the same results they got last season that's all, I'd wait at least 10 games in to see if they have any consistency.

We were awful against them, so you can only really judge them on today's win at Hull.  Who were probably awful.
Palacios is a great player and Spurs have a lot of attacking ability, but if you attack them with quality then you'll know whether or not they're any good.  And he's a miserable twat Redknapp, one bad result and he'll blame everyone else and the boat will start sinking.

I can't say anything on their game today as I was playing footy myself, but you can't just say that we were awful on Sunday. Yes, we were, but Spurs looked good and they exploited our weaknesses. The results so far might not mean that they'll be in the top 4, but they suggest that it won't be easy for anyone in the league to take points off them making our result a bit more bearable...

They're Tottenham.  Even if they had a 73 point lead at this stage, they'd find a way to fuck up.

They certainly have a big squad, especially when it comes to attackers. They have four good strikers, although none of them are brilliant. They won´t have the distraction of Europe which will keep them fresh.

That being said their defense doesn´t strike me as being good enough. If Ledley King wasn´t a sure bet to be injured for large stretches of the season I would rate them a lot higher. Let´s wait and see, after 15 to 20 games we´ll have a much better idea.
