Topic: Who owns RAWK?

I know this might sound silly,but who actually owns RAWK?

I know the Mods can tell me "well if you don't like it,join another forum" but of late this site is becoming more and more Sanitised by the day.

It really is Irritating,it reminds me of my last year at school,you can't even use the KUNT word without being quoted half of the phonetic Alphabet.

Please don't lock this thread like you did with my other thread last night,we're all mature adults here,lets have a good open honest debate.

I like the work Khunt being phonetically spellled.  Before i joined rawk the words c*nt used to be harsh and used to mean something.  Now its just another word that has been over played.   I think the mods are attempting to recharge the word c*nt.

On another note im sure there is a rawk thread for suggestions and stuff etc.

I believe 'that' word has been auto-corrected to allow some of the mods access to the site during their normal working day.  I think considering, to my knowledge, there is no-one employed full time on these boards the mods do a sterling job considering any c*nt (wahey!) can join and cause all manner of mayhem.

Personally I haven't noticed a sanitation of the place, but by my own admission I'm not the sharpest tool in the box.

The auto correct on cünt is because quite a few of our techie mods are work in IT and could see that the site was getting very close to the point where it was going to get blocked by their work web filter because of the language content.  This obviously would not simply have impacted on them but potentially on thousands of others, myself included, who can currently still access RAWK from work despite being behind a webfilter. 

It is not an attempt at sanitisation for its own sake but like many of the restrictions we place on what gets posted is simply to allow as many users as possible to keep accessing the site from work.

It always makes me laugh that people actually think that us Mods sit down in a room like some sad group of grumpy old men worrying about swearing and the like.  These decisions are usually taken for a good reason, even if that reason isn't necessarily readily apparent to everyone.

If it's any help I'm probably finding it harder to moderate my swearing than most.  It'd be alright if it wasn't for cünts asking questions all the time, and in the wrong fücking forum to boot

last night i posted a perfectly valid thread on Ferguson first 5 years,comparable to Rafa's first 5 years,the results where startling and in view of the Rafa bashers on here,i thought they would consider how lucky we are,taking the facts into consideration.

try the official forum if you think this is bad. Thats absolutely useless. Cant even say bloody or piss. The mods are fascists on that one. This forum by comparison is downright liberal. I think this is moderated quite well. I can say cock, nipple and Gary Neville is a wanker. The threads are more interesting and the dialogue more honest and not just towing the party line.

Sometimes a bit of gratuitious swearing is good for ones soul. Its only southerners who can't use the 'C' word properly anyway. Northerners and Midlanders use it as a term of endearment and as an insult. Its all in the context and tone.
