1520: MANCHESTER UNITED v ASTON VILLA LINE-UPS

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, O'Shea, Evans, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez.
Subs: Foster, Park, Welbeck, Gibson, Martin, Macheda, Eckersley.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Cuellar, Davies, Shorey, Milner, Petrov, Barry, Ashley Young, Carew, Agbonlahor.
Subs: Guzan, Delfouneso, Knight, Salifou, Reo-Coker, Gardner, Albrighton.

Referee: Mike Riley (Yorkshire)

Villa are actually the better team on paper. If they grew some bollocks.....

I've got a bad feeling about this.
Johnny Sack: 200 grand for insulting my wife. What's next, Carmine, he gets to fuck her for a million?

Carmine: He wants to fuck her?

Johnny Sack: I'm making a point.

Villa will be lucky if they win a corner. You're all setting yourselves up for disappointment.

Funny that, seeing how some always slag off our own bench as being poor compared to the mancs.

Well, to be fair, a team with all the Mancs injured/missing players would probably be better than the team they are feilding toay.

its going to be interesting

a lot of pace to attack the mancs back line and alot of average players in the mancs back line

We will have to wait and see but I think Villa will give them a game. Fancy Carew to give them a rough ride at the back
he looked dangerous against us until we got the third and there heads went down.

I wonder if people's opinions on Barry would change if he scored the winner today.

Not in the slightest. He's not as good as our first choice pairing, but I'd take him for cover only after we've bought all our other targets and only if he was going cheap. He'd be a useful squad player for us, but no more no less.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

Good news about Rio being injured, hope Carew can give them the kind of problems he gave us, and the agbonlahor and young can test them with their pace after their 2 week break.

Also hope Tevez will still feel the effects of the travel and energy sapping midweek loss.

I think Villa can grab a draw here if they keep it tight and not make mistakes.

Oh and if Barry scores a hat-trick then maybe he can still come here and be our 3rd choice CM behind Xabi and Masch ;)

I find all this talk about Barry very infuriating. If Rafa feels Barry would be a useful addition to our squad, then I don't see the need for any debate if he is good enough.

When Villa played us, they had a period where Carew was causing us some problems, hopefully without Vidic, and Ferdinand a liability, hopefully a few long balls to Carew and him laying them off to the young villa pacey lads.

We shall see. They have experience to over come this period they are in.

He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Manchester United will undeniably be top come the end of the day, and very likely with goal difference at least equal to ours. It's preposterous to consider that Villa have the merest slither of a chance in this game.
