Just moved into a new building for work and need advise on writing an email to one of the big big BIG boos men about the dress code.
Everyone in our new building is smart casual where as we are still wearing a fucking hideous uniform (think bus conductor/security guard)
During the redundancy consultation, the guy I am about to email suggested scrapping the uniforms but this hasn’t been enforced by the supervisor.
I’m/the reat of the guys, are not expecting to come to work dressed in trackies or owt but the uniform is a joke!
Basically, I don’t want to seem like I’m telling the big boss man ‘he promised this and that’ but I do want to be assertive to the point he acts on the request of me and the team.
The (unfinished) email below gives and idea of what I want to say but sounds horribly cringe and cant send that shite. I'm a shocker with stuff like this.

Good afternoon ****,
I know you’re a busy man, I don’t want to be a pest but... can we clear attempt to clear up the dress code concern.
When we all spoke during the consultation period, the idea of a more relaxed attitude towards work attire was discussed ETC...
ps the new building is excellent, once weve picked up the new processes i'm sure everything wil begin to fall into place ETC...
