Its no real suprise he had a number of suitors, and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other clubs around Europe who would be tripping over themselves to get him if he was available. It really makes yesterdays news all the more comforting. People also forget he's still relativley young compared to some of the big names in management. I think he's 49, and look what he has already achieved, and just imagine how much better he may become.

I don't know where this Balague guy took this story from, I didn't read anything on the Italian press. Assuming it's true, I wouldn't find it surprising 'cause everybody would agree that Benitez is the master of European games.
