« on: March 9, 2009, 06:59:07 PM »
Just incase any of you are about to book flights, if Arsenal get passed Hull in their FA Cup game, the semi finals are sheduled for the same weekend so inevitably our game V Arsenal will be re-scheduled.

Just thought id put this up incase some of you are looking at flights as i nearly got caught out earlier

Sorry to ask this in your thread but though it was unnessicary to create a new thread..

When you enter the ballot on the ticket sale on lfc.tv for e-season ticktes. Do you get the result (wheter or not you got ticktes) before the general sales open? And does everbody have equal chance to win?

you get an e-mail telling you the result on the evening of the ballot

Does everyone have an equal chance ? -  well that is a matter of opinion ;)

"The FA can confirm the schedule for the two FA Cup Semi-Finals with Arsenal facing Chelsea on Saturday 18 April"

This is a Sentanta 5.15 kick-off.

Arsenal's website does not currently have a new date for our game either.
So these are meat pies.  What kind of meat exactly?

As I erm predicted, Arsenal WILL play Chelsea on Sat 18th, after beating Hull 2-1 at Home.  Okay, so I was still delirious from Saturday's result and jumped the gun-ner a bit.  ;D

Would it not be quicker checking on the liverpool website, cos they'll be the first people to know and publish it.

yes but sometimes it will have disappeared off the main page by the time i get on to check, i dont think they normally leave it on the main page for more than a few hours then it it will be replaced with something else so its just incase i miss it.

I imagine it'll probably be 15th or the 22nd at 8:00PM, not a lot of other places it can moved to at this stage of the season.

Neither, I just looked at the date it was on, and just looked to the Wednesday before and after, the month it was on never entered my mind.

I apologize if that offended anyone.

Confirmed

Supporters should note Liverpool's Barclays Premier League clash with Arsenal will now take place on Tuesday, April 21, at 8pm, and will be shown live on Sky.

Yep its Ryanair. It really depends on when you book them. If you book early they are normally 40 quid max, mostly tax charges. If you chance it and wait until closer the time and offers may come up, thats how I got to the West Ham game in December, and now for the Arsenal and Spurs games.

Ryanair are a bastard for tax charges. On their front page they will offer you flights for so little but their tax charges more than make up for the loss.

happy days, i didnt even know they flew from derry to liverpool so thats good for future reference. I was typing my post above as i was going through the booking screen, i thought i was getting my flights for £5 as advertised but it turned out it was a fiver each way so it was a tenner and then they charged £9.50 PER PERSON debit card booking fee which is fucking outrageous !!! So it actually cost £20 all in which is still for nothing but its still so annoying when you think your gona be paying less then they add on all these charges, they are absolute c*nts of the highest order which is why i try to fly easyjet were possible.

And to think we complain about the 2.50 internet charge on match tickets! This booking charge for each ticket rather than per transaction is immoral it should be quoted in the initial price

a lot of the cheap airlines don't make a charge for visa electron - I opened an account with Halifax just for that purpose - booked to Madrid with Monarch with no extra charges.

already booked flights to Rome with Ryanair - online check in, just hand luggage and pay by Visa Eectron - no extra charges at all and some of the flights had no taxes - less than 50 quid all in

The Co-op Bank at the corner of Fountain Street and Wellington Place in Belfast actually advertises their Electron card to save on budget airlines.  It operates like a debit account but they will give you an overdraft for £20 per year in case you don't keep enough in the acccount for booking flights.  I only use it for this purpose.  Saves about £2 with Easyjet and £9 with Ryanair each time you book.
