Steven Gerrard makes his first start in almost a month against Middlesbrough this afternoon as Rafa Benítez makes four changes from the side that beat Real Madrid. You can listen to the game on our Match Day Live show from 2.30pm GMT.
Nabil El Zhar comes in for his first league start ahead of Albert Riera, while Sami Hyypia and Ryan Babel replace injured duo Alvaro Arbeloa and Fernando Torres.
 
The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Aurelio, Hyypia, Skrtel, Carragher, Alonso, Gerrard, Babel, Mascherano, El Zhar, Kuyt. Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Riera, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, Darby.

I'm quite pleased to be honest, he's played well in his substitute appearances and has impressed.  He makes good runs, he's not afraid to take people on and is calm on the ball, hopefully he adds a spark to our attacking play.

Strong line-up but I'm disappointed Yossi doesn't get a chance to continue his good form right from the start. He's been on fire lately and  haven't played that much this season either so bit surprising to see him rested. Then again, he might be carrying some niggling injuries which we don't know of.
