Next game in 14 days time?
« on: February 8, 2009, 10:03:28 AM »
That's my next two weeks full of boredom then.
"I believe with the advent of acid we discovered new ways to think and it had to do with piecing together new thoughts of mind. Why is it that people think it's so evil? What is it about it that there is scares people so deeply? Because they are afraid that there's more to reality than they have ever confronted."

We need this time to get rested and ready for the final onslaught. Those who are not on international duty should be allowed to go to Dubai with their families/team-mates for a few days R&R.

I'd be busy praying that Nando makes it out of this international break unscathed.

Least it means Gerrard may only miss one (pompey) or two (city) games.  Hopefully just the one.

Same here.
Long time of recovering and no excuses if we don't beat Manchester City then.

Would be handy if they could sell the club while they are there as well.

He's off to play in a poxy friendly though where it seems he only has to pull on a Spanish shirt and he gets injured.  Plus he'll be marked in this game maybe by Terry and Rio.  Great opportunity for them to stick the boot in and damage us.

Amusing....By beating us in the FA Cup, Everton have handed us an extra weeks break in preparation for a run in that could lead us to the title.

I agree  :)

Despite having a nightmare week at the hands of them all... and them being far too pleased with themselves thinking they have 'fucked our season up' we may really benefit from this time off.

I wish they were all going to have 14 days off now.

Pray that none suffer injury in this stupid friendly in Spain.

Critical to our chances that we don't get even one injury now.

Id be more worried about Spain getting Torres injured themselves with their crappy training and warm up techniques, rather than Torres getting fouled.

Benitez has already commented how Spain have caused Torres' problems. Twats!

I was gutted that we drew Everton to be honest as it means we had to field a strong team. If we'd drawn anyone else we could have rested a few players, instead we had to field a strong team.

Can anyone please explain the need for this Mancs & Rentboys vs. Liverpool England vs. Spain 'friendly'? Especially at such a crucial time in the title race?

There will be hell to play if any of our lads even pick up a scratch, I don't see why there is a need to risk any of them even for 'only' 45 mins. Only takes a few seconds for a studs-up leg-breaker from Terry or Ferdinand. I know FIFA rules apply but I hope Rafa has some sort of 'agreement' with Del Bosque and rests our boys or brings them on in the 86th minute thus minimising the risk. Let's face it, Spain's second team should have enough to comfortably deal with England. Regardless, it's a fucking farce this game is even being played mid-season.

Xabi has said he thinks Lampard's red card was deserved, so I'm wondering if the Chelsea contingent will be carrying a grudge. With Gerrard out I hope Spain win handsomely, but basically just hope they all come back uninjured.

Praying our boys play as little time as possible in this utterly pointless friendly, and stay far away from those Manc/Rentboy scumbags.

If only Gerrard were playing, then he could belt the fucking shit out of 'em if they try anything  ::)

Good time for Rafa/Danny to get their contracts sorted too. Pull your finger out Parry!  :-X
