Hope not, remember last year's Arsenal match?

The 1-1 at home?  Yeah, Nando was rushed back much too quickly just for that game, and got crocked again.

If the injury's only 2 weeks, he should have more than a week to get fit for it though.

Time to give Babel a go up front with Keane if we're playing 4-4-2. Can't see Rafa playing him on the right and moving Kuyt up front.

Disappointed for the team, but also disappointed for him - he must be gutted to be injured yet again.

At least it is a strain rather than a tear...or am I clinging to false hope with that?

I would like to see Babel go on the right and Kuytaldinho up front with Keane. But I dont imagine that happening

The fact that he is out for three weeks doesn't concern me, because our games are ok in that time period.

The thing that concerns me in a big way is that his hamstring has gone again already.

The best signing we have made in nearly 20 years, the best striker in the world, it would just be fucking typical if the footballing overlords decided to throw this into the mix.

To be honest, we can't afford to rush him back. If he can't play again till Christmas then so be it.

Unfortunately, the nearly perfect season Torres had last year is turning into a very unlucky one this year. He has missed a lot of the season so far through injury:-( Let's just hope the wheel turns after Christmas because if we are to win the league, we need his goals.

I think Hyypia or Phil Babb may argue that.

Looks like that's it for his hamstring then, I remember about 10 years ago Owen said that once you've done a hamstring it never 100% recovers so that's that. Attention turns to who which top class striker can sign now to play as understudy because it looks as though Torres is going to be a 25 game a season man from now on. Time for Keane start scoring and maybe Nemeth will be on the bench if he is fit enough.

It pisses me off that we dont have a good enough doctor to nurse him through these injuries.
Either that or our coaches dont have the patience to let him recover properly.

Just let him sit out for the remainder of the calendar year and re-assess his status on January 1st.
We brought him back too early the first time...brought him back too early this time and must not make the same mistake for the third time.
Dry sheets, ice cream, jelly beans....3 of my favorite things.

Kuyt was chipping in with goals while Torres was injured last time, hopefully Rafa will play him further forward so he can continue to do so

He's injured his hamstring 5 times in a year so doesn't take a genius to work out he has a permanent problem though right?
