In past years, this club has had the decency to wait until the leaders are well ahead before going on a late run of good form, thus ensuring that supporters are not subjected to the stress of a title challenge. It was all going so well until we beat Manchester United – the finest team in the WORLD – at Old Trafford. What were our players thinking? Didn’t they realise the effect it might have on those sensitive lads? And to put that sort of stress on their elderly manager . . . Well, that’s just cruel, isn’t it?

Our players may have felt they’d successfully avoided a title challenge this year when they added a pre-Christmas slump to the traditional January collapse. But even they must now realise that it’s not been enough.

Every player in the club has to knuckle down and start grinding out a series of goalless draws before it’s too late.

after few very lucky wins, the fluke at home against the greatest ever european team Real, then we go to old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams, the home of the Double champions and somehow, actually a gifted goal by Vidic the best defender in PL this year, then Gerrard dives for a pen which he barely scores. just pure luck.
But it ran out, against the mighty chelsea we just proved what shite side we really were. we are now out of CL, which we should have been long ago, this weekend unless we get our luck back, the mighty blackburn might put 4 past us this time.
absolutely shite to watch this LFC.
I just couldnt be arsed, too lazy to support other great teams.

What it is is that Rafael Benitez is a foreigner. The 'Spaniard' has no idea how to behave in England. Sam Allardyce and Mr. Ferguson (That's right, he's a Knight of the Realm, and don't you forget it) have class, dignity and above all, managerial ability that the Spaniard will never ever have. Rafa is mad - I cannot imagine we can forgo Voronin who is one of the best striker in Germany over the last 6 months. Instead, we settled for injury prone Torres who cannot bother to take a second touch after chesting the ball down in Blackburn game and happen to fluke a goal.

Instead of making full use of Voronin, we probably have to end up selling him for 3 to 5 million profit. If we are so desperate up for profit, we should be selling prawn sandwiches like ManU.
