A quick lesson in how to watch a game of football with Liverpool playing:

1. Wait till it's fucking over...
2. enjoy the 3 points...

 :wave

THE TRUTH?

Lord Justice Taylor's official inquiry into the disaster disparaged The Sun's story and was unequivocal as to the disaster's cause:

The Taylor Report stated that official cause of the disaster was the failure of police control.

When I watched Giraldo or whatever his name is taking the free kick, I thought it was going to go in because of the way the wall was set and Reina didn't cover his left side post. And it did result in a goal.
Absoulutely right..I was watching it on the television and the setup made me feel that he would finish...
But what a comeback...Think the best comeback in the league for us after quite some years..We do it cups often but not in the league...This season its totally different...ManU 1-0 down at Anfield but at an away match that too at one of the top 6 six sides at the moment..WOW...WOW...

I think Skrtels done his medial ligament in his knee.
If you need the oxygen mask on you're in some serious pain there.
I hope it's not as bad as it looks, but when something like that happens, either the fabric of space-time rips apart and we all die, or, as in this case, Skrtel took one for us all and decided to blink when staring the universe down.

I hope we have some decent cover at CB... oh wait...

And lastly... fucken Torres missing that sitter.
Sell the bastard and use the money to buy someone half decent... like Robinho... oh wait...

Didn't see Martin use the Oxygen,as far as i know he bit the top off and shared it around.

It's about beating him in the air, so we will use Mascherano against him!

Absolutely brilliant.

Giving teams headstarts just to challenge ourselves ;)

Was most impressed by the patience we were showing early in the 2nd half. Seemed to be a belief that they'd get a goal before too long if and that it would then open up the possibilities of, at least, a second. Confidence; lovely.

There seems to be a great belief in this team at the moment, last year we would have lost that at half time. I still believe though our attacking strength is what will hold us in good stead, and i still think that first half Rafas selection was more to do with city than ourselves. However second half he made the right switches at the right times with Zabalata helping us along.

But you cant knock that, im a happy bunny indeed.

Agree. The team seems to be on a different level this season when it comes to belief and mental toughness. Really proud of the lads after that, looked down and out after the two City low-blows.

Shame about Skrtel, but all those moaning on about Agger needing a chance will get to see him on the pitch now. Gutted for Skrtel, looked like he did his outer ligaments in the knee.

I wrote this yesterday in the pre-game thread: -

Quote
I'd like us to step up and demonstrate the remorceless form that Chelsea have in the past, where 3 points is a given.

Arsenal have never demonstrated that, and ManU normally don't at the start of the season. If we're going to beat Chelsea now's the time to pull ahead as they seem to be facing an injury crisis.

Can't say I've been disappointed.

Really loved the match. We are now looking like a team. This is kind of comeback which shows the character of guys.

Dare I say it but we're playing with similar spirit to the way the Manks played in treble season...

Well in lads, get well soon Martin and dont eat too many babies if youre in hospital

. That tackle was filthy - when Hughes and the City fans see it they can't really have any complaints.  :scarf

To be honest I thought it was mistimed rather then dirty. Should be a red for sure, but if he gets it right its a great tackle.

We'll be able to register Sami for the CL once the group stages are over and with six points from the first two games we should qualify ok.

Hope Skrtel's not out for too long. It'll be a month or the rest of the season.

Great great game though.

Well, Agger will be back.  Should quieten both him and some of the posts down.

I think Arbeloa should also be considered for MOTM. Got up the pitch tirelessly plus had some vital defensive touches. Very impressed by him.

Anyway... Great performance by the red men. City have a couple of great players but are still way of being a great team. The main out ball for City in the first half was a long punt out to the left wing for Robinho. I thought we played well and there was some great attacking play. Difficult to tell the real quality of individual play on a stream but I always thought we cold come back.

When was the last time we came back from 2 nil down in the Prem? I can recall a game against Fulham I think in Rafa's first season when that Senegal player (defensive mid) played the first half and was tripe, and I think we were two down at half time, but we came back to win it with Xabi scoring a cracker? Is my memory failing?

Anyone help me out here?

4-2 against Fulham, Biscan scoring a cracker?

Skrtel's injury looked horrible... hope it's not a serious knee injury. Looks like it could be though- I think he was given pain killer on the pitch as well so it must have been bad.

It was the ankle which was strapped and put in a bubble he fell awkwardly on it on the replays.

Really encouraging to see us scrapping for the win even when things weren't really falling our way. Was pretty fed-up at halftime, but hoped we could pull it back in the second half, and wasn't disappointed.

Tough to see Skrtel go off like that, looked pretty bad, but Daniel Agger isn't exactly a step down either.

Well done to the boys in red, good to see the fighting spirit alive and well.
