Rafa Benitez has handed full debuts to Diego Cavalieri, David Ngog and Phillip Degen for tonight's Carling Cup clash with Crewe Alexandra at Anfield.

Ryan Babel will partner the French striker up front, while Jermaine Pennant and Nabil El Zhar will play on right and left wing respectively.
 
The full Reds line-up is: Cavalieri, Insua, Hyypia (c), Agger, Degen, El Zahar, Plessis, Lucas, Pennant, Ngog, Babel
Subs: Gulacsi, Dossena, Keane, Torres, Alonso, Carragher, Skrtel

A strong line-up, but I think there should be more kids on the bench rather the likes of Torres and Carragher. Might give them an added incentive.

I got 10 player right in pre-match thread.Instead of Pennant,had Pacheco in the team.Bit disappointed to see such a senior bench.

I was hoping both Torres and Keane would start, they need to work on there partnership and match sharpness, also the best opportunity they will get to get a goal or two and gain some confidence.
