I thought we were decent. Moving the ball around, some dangerous balls into the box but credit to Stokes. Again the amount of disrespect we have for teams like Stoke is really a disgrace.

Dirk Kuyt - that's all i need to say.

People who still love him (Rafa included) need their head checked.

Rafa's such a top manager - and you know, week in week out, all the good work he does, the hours he spends behind the scenes, wasted by playing that deluded fool.

I knew when we beat the Mancs last week we'd struggle in this game - this always happens. Same thing - will Rafa ever learn?

We need the next 3 points desperately - otherwise this result will be the equivilent of our Birmingham game last season.

Oh how everything can change in the space of a week.

High in the clouds after this past week, and bloody gutted after that.

Proves we are far too inconsistent and really, have not made any progress.

Man U and Chelsea would have won this 3-0 at least. Poor. Yes we had one goal disallowed, but really, should have gone on to score 1 or 2 more.

Very frustrating, rarely bother with these threads and I'm sure it'll be full of drama queens. (Apart from me, natch).

If United lose tomorrow, we'll kick ourselves for not capitalising. If they win, we'll have lost a golden chance to keep the gap wide. Either way, it's disappointing and the non-prolific record of Torres and Keane might be starting to worry some.

Bottom line - another shite team comes to Anfield and we can't break them down, and once again we'll look back on it, rather predictably, at the end of the season and realise that it STILL the reason why we haven't won the title.

Call it a kneejerk reaction all you want, but this is why we don't challenge. Simple as that.

Watch the game before you comment. Kuyt was much more dangerous than Gerrard, Keane and Torres.

Load of fucking shite. Fucking ref disallows a decent goal, but even then we should have buried this game.

We had absolute fucking control, yet our crosses were shite and so was the attack in general. Rafa needs to sort this Keane shite out as well- because it's a massive waste of money if he isn't utilised properly.

Not happy with that- as it's the same old shite as we always see from our team- when there's a chance to pick up points over our rivals, we don't take them. A win today would have seen us add to the lead against Man U or pick up one over Chelsea.

Still, early days- but what we've seen in these early days is hardly cause for optimism; we've been generally shite since the last game of pre season to be honest.

Should have been 1-0 up within 2 minutes.

Can't take a set piece and as I've said before it undermines the title challenge. People can bitch and moan about individuals, a lack of class or whatever.. but fuck me, if you can't score a set piece you wont win these games. Seen plenty of Chelsea games over the past few years like this but they've scored from a corner. Even United and fucking Arsenal do it.

Painful. People focus on the delivery, but no one attacks the ball. Even in open play. Make a run across the face of goal, pull to the back-post, whatever... just do something. Give the guy supplying the cross something better than a statue to aim for.

We've never had a magician in the side to break down teams like this for years. That's why we'll always struggle when workman like teams come and park the bus in front of the goal.
