they're not a bad side neither are Bordeux, infact Brodeux have a striker from Morroco who was fantastic at the weekend, im hoping they can cause Chelsea a problem. he looked really good.

it is difficult to understand the level of the french teams but Marseille seemed quick and direct, we will have to play well to beat them and i'd be happy with a draw but hopefully it will be 0-1.

I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with ITV so far this season in the fact that Liverpool matches are always ITV1. I mean, I have Freeview so can get ITV4, but has anyone else notice how the picture dimensions always seem to be completely messed up on ITV4? You either watch it stretched, or you mess around with settings until you get an almost square image with black bars either side, even on a regular non-widescreen TV.
Hate the commentary though.

I'm confident we can win this tonight. I mean, coming off the back of a victory against United, we should be the favourable team. We don't really have to worry about conserving players, because we should be able to beat Stoke with a half-strength team next weekend, even if they do seem to be playing reasonably well right now. Marseille are a strong side, but Liverpool seem stronger right now.
That said, this is the group stages of the Champions League, so I wouldn't be surprised make a shitty job of it and have to scrape through to the second round as per usual...

We won't have this all our own way as we did last year. Still expect us to win though. Ideally I'd like Keane to get off the mark, Riera to play the full 90 and of course ultimately us to win - if you win the first couple of group matches in the CL it's a couple you may not have to worry about (as we found out last year).
