Good enough. Agger on the bench?

Glad to see Aurelio in there....btw where is Agger again, I thought Carra might have gone to right back
He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Any chance we can't get a load of people calling our own players c*nts, or doubting the team or Rafa if we aren't 3 up after 10 minutes?

yeah, it would go down really well if we lost this one!
Brian Reade - "Rafa Benitez was many things at Liverpool but unlike every manager since Kenny Dalglish, he was not a failure. Indeed a majority of Liverpudlians will remember him as a legend. Because like Bill Shankly, on more days and nights than those expert pundits ever care to recall, he made the people happy".

I can't blame him at all. The consequences of not making it into the Group Stages and losing out on 10M would be huge, given the precarious financial state we are in.

It would do wonders for the confidence of the team if we went out tonight. It wouldn't affect us finanacially either!! FFS he can take the likes of nando and stevie off if we're crusing until then what's the point on risking a weakened team??

Yossi and Dirk need to stay as wide as possible, we've been incredibly narrow these last 3 games and it makes it so much easier for our opposition.

That's absolutely right.

No way can we expect Mash, Lucas, Babel to appear in the premiership...not a chance. After all, they didn't play at all last season did they?

No doubt Rafa will start with Cavalieri, Darby and Insua against Villa just to emphasise the point...

Not totally convinced by that line up but still we should be good enough to beat them.  We certainly have enough quality.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
