New Star Soccer may cost me my job. Fuuuuuuuuuuuu

It's a bit addictive isn't it!

I've managed to get signed for Liverpool, but am in my third season with them and don't look like winning anything.  Barca are showing an interest but Liverpool are the only club I want to play for.  I'm not getting any younger though, and I want to win trophies though. Can I stay at Liverpool without winning trophies?  The fans are getting restless and my sponsors are not as keen as they once were.  My girlfriend keeps giving me earache for not spending enough time with her, but my priority is with the club and the supporters. What should I do?!!

I hate you New Star Soccer.

haha. I moved every window and got signed with Newcastle. Then the fucking fans jeered me, so I moved to Liverpool next window and lead them to the league title, with more than a goal a game. The following year Everton won the thing, but I won the FA Cup. Basically I could go to any club in the world, but I can't see myself leaving Liverpool.

You should be congratulated.  Such loyalty is rarely seen in modern football.

Latest update to New Star Soccer includes European comps and internationals.

Not that I'd know. I'm languishing in League 1 with Wycombe.

You might want to budget a few quid for some apps, but otherwise you're golden. Maybe a case if it'll be leaving the house.

I'd get a case even if it didn't leave the house that much to be honest. You don't really need anything else though

All depends what you intend to do with it.  The iPad is a great device for consuming content, web browsing, reading books, email, games etc. whereas the MacBook comes into its own for creating content.

I use my MacBook Pro for serious work and my iPad when travelling or sat in front of the TV.  The iPad has been the best gadget I've ever bought.

Just checking if anyone encountered the same problem with me.

Been playing a game app (Contract Killer) for a while, got almost all their guns/rifles, reached level 56, then suddenly, after syncing with laptop, game just dies after clicking on it.

Reset my phone, restored previous backup, still same problem.

Any advise?

Thanks

I'm 23, had 2 seasons with Liverpool. First year i won the league and FA Cup. This season i won the clean sweep including the European Cup and treated myself to the island so i own everything. Just signed for Barca now in the close season. Still can't get an international call up though. No idea how you do it.

On mine it said that if it's updated with the career in progress it takes a couple of years to kick in.

I still have yet to win any trophy, I'm 25 and close to maxing out all stats. My team just won't stop conceding goals.

Also, we may as well make a thread for this game if we keep going on like this anyway  :P

I'm 33; started off in lower Spanish leagues, got a move to Atletico, then Barca, but they were all real bad. Moved to Celtic for a couple years and won SPL + Scottish Cup before going to Real Madrid for 5 seasons and winning nearly everything. Now back at Celtic to end my career before starting a new game

Also getting games for the Scottish NT but we're awful

I can't get out of the Conference on my iPhone, but I'm in League Two on the iPad. Definitely easier to play on iPad. I've had to stop myself from playing it because it took over my life last month.

Realised my dream over the weekend getting signed by LFC. Pissed the boss off though by trying for higher wages. Dumped my Leeds girlfriend and picked up a new scouse bird. However the honeymoon period didn't last -  she started slagging Kenny off on the radio, so she got dumped.

I started focussing too much on my cosmetics sponsorship and this had a marked impact on my performance on the field. Fans starting booing, causing me to miss an open goal in the Europa League semis.

Left the club under a bit of a black cloud and am now languishing on the fringes on the Osasuna first team.

Saving up for my castle though, so all good.

Much like real-life getting Liverpool to win a league title is almost impossible in my game. Already won it twice with Man City earlier in my career but I'm desperate to end my time as a pro by bagging that 19th title.

In my five years at the club we've won the league cup twice, the FA Cup and the Champions League but the title still eludes us. 2nd last season thanks to a string of defensive fuck ups in the run in, including drawing 3-3 at Norwich despite being 3 up within half-an-hour.

No matter how many goals and assists I get we always seem to mess up somewhere along the line, conceding goals aplenty, this season I scored four against the Mancs but we still only drew, then the next game we lose 3-2 to promoted Cardiff effectively ending our title push. I missed a pen too, smashing it into the post in a Downing-esque fashion.  :butt
