Hillsborough and Champions League 2009
« on: July 2, 2008, 12:44:04 PM »
Me my mates are trying to confirm if LFC go through if we could be due to play a Champions League match on the anniversary of Hillsborough.

We know this is some time away and  we have to get through a few stages, but seeing we would have to negotiate with UEFA have HJC approach Liverpool FC seeing how this is such an important matter.

Also how would people feel about playing  on or even the day before especially if the lads are having to play away and may not be able to get back in time.

I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed,
A wound that will not heal, a heart that cannot feel.
Hoping that the horror will recede,
Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed.........JUSTICE.

it would be very very unfortunate , but uefa would i doubt be sympathetic to this and if the date was the 15th of April they would make liverpool play and liverpool would play if we were in that situation .

April 15th is a Wednesday - if we're still in and games are scheduled for that week could UEFA not be persuaded to give us the Tuesday fixture? Famous last words but surely they're not that inflexible?
