Commie, take my advice, Take the game back.

Then wait a few weeks and buy the GOTY Edition with all the DLC included.
Mate, what about for us casual gamers who will perhaps not need to the DLC?  Is it worth getting the original for a cheaper price?

Or am I missing something?

The original is amazing!  But once you finish it I guarantee you are going to want the DLC :)

Haha, fair enough.  But once you start this game it is hard to put down.  I urge you to show caution.

Was coming on here to ask which DLC people recommended over another but it seems the best thing to do is sell the original and get the game of the year version.

Wonder how much i could get for it.

CEX offering decent price for it still.  I shoudlget £15 maybe even £20 from some sap on ebay if you are lucky.  GOTY is £30 at Gamestation.

Fuck it, D/L Broken Steel already ;) Love the extra beasties in the main game, Hellfire Troopers etc.
Will still buy GOTY, too. Saddo.

Hmmmmm my £20 PSN card arrived today and I have topped up the PSN account.  Seeing them all there ready for me to play, but I have to hold out.  Not worth it otherwise.

Is it good HC? :D

CEX price has gone down to £10 trade in.  Gamestation will match it or beat it by a £1 too so you are looking at around £10-£11 at the moment.  It will be just about worthless once GOTY edition comes out so maybe try and flog it on eBay now.

Tried it last night, it's a step up in challenge. The Enclave have new weapons and new armour, and the Super Mutants have a new 'Overlord' which is like a scaled-down Behemoth and very tough. The Incinerator flamethrower is class.

I'm literally jizzing myself over this GOTY for Friday.  Not sure which I'm going to try first over the weekend, this or Uncharted 2.

This thing has been gathering dust for me since I finished it (the same month it came out), for one simple reason. When I finished it, I couldn't play more. I was locked inside the final room. And I didn't want to start over.

Now I see they released a patch ages ago that fixes this?!

I'm gonna make up for lost time, baby. You're GETTING IT !

You'll enjoy it so much more now, the main story is really short..the real meat lies in all the side stuff..did for me anyway..I actually found the main quest pretty passable.

Played GOTY on PS3 last night and it was glitchy and freezing up for the first half hour then seemed to settle down and was OK after that? seems to take longer to load up when fast traveling as well.

Couldn't sleep last night so downloaded the other DLC trailers.  Point Lookout is the one that really grabs me; it looks more Resi/Silent Hill-y than the rest of the game, although I've already got Broken Steel I'll be buying GOTY this weekend.

Inevitably though, I suppose the RPG element of the story, the personal story side to it, is diminished with these extensions but the quality looks superb. Could spend 200 hours on the damn thing...

I cracked on again with this the other day, will carry me over until MW2.

Still trying to get into Vault 12 (i think it might be).

You can easily end up spending hours hunting around for ammo and other goodies on this, and forget about your actual mission.

On AVForums there are some people with this problems, apparently Bethesda are aware and are gonna patch.  Same old story with games these days ::)

It is still close to perfect, though; already finished Anchorage, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and (almost) The Pitt. Will then start it again from scratch to get the one or two trophies outstanding;) , but presumably you can access the DLC areas from the beginning if you start with the GoTY disc? Or does it kick in later?

Get the pc version, less buggy and you can add mods  and use the GECK(game editor) which is not available to PS3 users.

You finish the game as per normal but instead of that being the end it continues with broken steel which starts 2 weeks after the original game stops (don't want to say to much might ruin it for anybody who hasn't finished original game)

You've got to finish the main game objective for Broken Steel to work but Point Lookout will work without it being completed.

That's true you can do the other 4 DLC without finishing the original game and still level up to level 30.
