On the way back from Arsenal on Saturday all the overheads on the Euston-Liverpool line were down, hence causing all the trains back to Liverpool to be cancelled.
As I result I had to go to St. Pancras, get on a stupidly overcrowded train to Derby, change there then change again at Crewe, before finally arriving home about 1-2 hours after I was meant to.
Doesn't this mean they have to compensate me in some way? I always heard if you were delayed by more than an hour that they guarentee to re-imburse you in some way or something?
Anyone know the best way to go about this? The train I was meant to be on originally was a Virgin Pendolino but ended up on some shitty arse midlands train, eventually getting on a pendilino when changing at Crewe.
All help appreciated, tar.
PS. I'd imagine there's a few others in the same position as me.
