Celebrations!
« on: April 2, 2008, 05:32:10 PM »
Something that's been bothering me this season is the reaction of our goal scorers.
There was a time when celebration by a player after a goal scored at The Kop goal, took place in front of The Kop.

Apart from Torres who until recently always went to The Kop after his goals, the rest go to the Paddock corner flag and wave to .....whoever...in the Main Stand.
Even Torres in the Derby did this, which I find very strange.

I'm just wondering if the club has told players not to go to The Kop as our fans are more likely to rush forward to join in the celebrations.

Or does anyone have any better reasons for players not doing what should come very naturally?

Yeah they are running over to MA, been in there a few times and would not know any of the families but loads of faces you would know, ex-players, injured players, reserves etc.. Saw xabi and his bird (mom mah) in there at one match a while back, was there for chelsea semi in 2005 and it was a like who's who of LFC past and present and there are always a few cracking birds in there that have wag written all over them. Never got a hug of crouchies bird tho  :(

Gerrard seemed intent on getting to Riise before doing anything else.

Babel was pretty much in front of the Kop, he lurked towards the corner flag, then everyone lept on him in front of the KOP. Good end to the night.
