Thought it was a good atmosphere that night myself.

I was stood on the kop and thought it was shite for a European cup quarter final, only because we were 3 nill up mind.
Emlyn, you were a very bad influence on my younger brother in Barcelona! I don't know what you gave him but he was a nuisance the entire day, have banned him from Eindhoven!  :missus

Singing the rafa song for ages was boss though.

It was a laughing and joking kop that night, which is a good thing to have every now and again. Especially before a big mad one like the Chelsea semi after it.

As long as the 28,000 season tickets holders ( stiffs ) dont attend, the reason we have more of an atmosphere at cup matches is because we dont have the majority of these people sat on their seats like bookends

Actually, I WILL be going.........but don't include me as one of your "stiffs". We're not all boring you know  ;)

Thats just bollocks, i see the exact season ticket holders in their seats for these games and the one and only difference is that they're up for it. Its got nothing to do with them being replaced by super fans

I shall be attending so bog off, I only attend the big games though and wo betide anybody that wakes me during the second half in the Paddock, 8:45 is snooze time for me, ready for my coco at 10.

Glad to see we still have loads of supper fans on here then that like to tell others how great a fan they are for being able to get up for a CL quarter final :wanker  Well done, do people want a medal.

As for the original poster, wasn't your first ever game Bolton away the other month? Glad to see you know about European nights and you have your 4 credits ;)

wish i was in the kop for that game , instead i was at home eating my nails because i was nervous to fuck, and the feeling of that final whistle was almost orgasmic

Both games I'd been on the ale for a number of hours - Chelsea game was sound as I was in the Sandon not long after the final whistle - Istanbul was a little different - I got a hangover during penalties. I didn't mind though

the atmosphere should be as good as Chelsea if not better, don't forget the last 2 cups they knocked us out of last season? Fa lost 3-1 and then that battering in the carling 6-3.

In march that year we made up for it and battered them at home in the league and me thinks another battering is on the cards for them this year. I like the word batter...............................

Oh this will be good, not as good as Chelsea at that was a Semi-Final but, as long as we're still in the game it will be loud. Alot louder than the atmosphere for our Prem games against them.  They'll certainly hear 'our famous atmosphere' that night. Roll on 8th April
