Question regarding the National Express
« on: March 9, 2008, 07:39:54 PM »
Those who have been on them before...

There is a departure from Town at 23:40 which gets to Heathrow for 05:45.

Do they usually stick to a strict timetable (I know they have to call at other locations on the way down) or do they usually arrive at destinations early, because if I was to go on this, it would be perfect timing for my flight, but it if there was any delays en route, then it might be a little bit tight.

Unlikely you'll get delays at that time of night.

I've been on an overnight one, usually a little bit earlier than advertised.

i used this for all the euro games last year. it runs on time but is a nightmare of a journey
I'd played at Anfield and I knew the crowd were fantastic. I knew there was a public just waiting. So I fought the battles inside and outside. I was interested in only one thing, success for the club. And that meant success for the people. I wanted results for the club, for the love of the game, to make the people happy

I'd never recommend National Express Dan, I've had bad experiences...If there was anyway you could get a train I'd strongly recommend. But if not, hope it all works out for you.

I use the National Express overnight coach all the time, as I live in Reading & work in London, so it is a cheap way of getting back home after midweek home games.

99% of the time it sticks to the timetable or is a little bit early.  It's a bit of a long-winded journey (& is sometimes difficult to get to sleep), but is £22 return to London & is the only way of getting to Heathrow direct via public transport from Liverpool at that time of night.

It does get quite busy after matchdays, so I always book in advance, so don't know whether you will just be able to turn up on Monday night.

Hope this helps.

Is there a coach say an hour before just to play it safe ?
