Well this is it, the chips are well and truly down. No doubt Rafa will bring back the big guns with Torres, Gerrard and Mascherano certainties to start barring any mishaps in training.

This could well be part one of a two part drama that settles Rafa Benitez' future at the club. Even if the yanks decide to sell up next month I'm sure Hicks won't be able to resist the opportunity to settle the long running score with Rafa and send him on his way.

Support in the ground is paramount and nothing less than a classic Anfield European night will do...

Come on you Redmen our destiny awaits...

Upwards and onwards Redmen!

I feel confident about this game, Torres and Gerrard to score in a 2-0 win.

Hope to see some of the post game praise directed at Rafa, as well.

Alonso, who doesn't really tackle that much anymore should alongside Masch. Pennant may be worth giving a try to on the right. Although Benny plays a more open game, when it comes to tracking back both of them go MIA anyways.

Not the best time to post after todays shambles.  But here goes.

On current form and league placings Milan should fuck us right over with something to spare.  But I don't think they will.  However anything less than a 1 goal lead for us is not good.

Based on my current mood and having just came back from todays game I'd say a realistic result would be 2-1 to Inter.  Hope I'm wrong.

                Reina
 Arbeloa Agger Carra Riise
Pennant Lucas Masch Babel
              Gerrard
              Torres

I don't like playing Gerrard there, but our strikers are off form, and Gerrard moans out on the right.  Though I'd be tempted to play Kuyt to try and work their back 4 as much as possible.

Not necessarily what I want but I think Rafa will go with the following:

                    Reina
   Finnan Carragher Hyypia Arbeloa
   Pennant  Gerrard Mascherano Riise
                          Kuyt
                   Torres

0-0, followed by a score draw at their place.

I just want to see these players LOOK like they at least want to win *something* this season. Rafa needs to get them up for this match, he shouldn't need to, but judging by the last few months, he will need to.

I'm not expecting a good result, but I am expecting them to run themselves into the ground for us.

He's my first name on the teamsheet these days...   well equal with Torres - but that's due to his lack of competition.

I'd have preferred Skrtel too, but with the pace issue (like the Villa game) it means Mascherano will have to play out of his skin.

Just can't see Rafa going with one lone striker in a 4-5-1 formation.

We're at home and we are REALLY going to need to take a win to Milan. That 4-5-1 formation is fine away from home in a few weeks time, but we're going to have to play two up top on Tuesday, surely?

Pennant can hug the touchline.  Babel can just basically play up front.
