Just thought I'd bumped the thread by telling I booked my ticket to Egypt.
Going from 4dec till 17 dec.
Will be some long day travelling.. amsterdam-zurich-cairo by plane then about 3 hours with the train to Alexandria.
We'll be leaving Alexandria on the 15th or 16th and head back to Cairo to do a quick tour to the piramides and then head home again..

Haven't booked hotels for either Cairo or Alexandria. Anyone got tips for a cheap but decent hotel?

Came back on Monday from GREAT 3 weeks off: Buenos Aires -> Tierra del Fuego & Cape Horn -> Chilean Patagonia -> Easter Island -> volcano Villarica. Now skint, for shure.

Was going to Magaluf but that's been cancelled now. Just off to Lancashire for 10 days next month with a few mates and then possibly going Spain with the missus for a week in August to visit her Grandparents. Should be fun :)
