Fernando Amorebieta

Liverpool could raid Spain again as they look at Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta and Javi Martinez, while Gabriel Heinze is still a possible arrival. (Daily Telegraph)

presumably if he arrived it would be because agger's out of the picture in the future?

i can't see carragher or skrtel going anywhere, and whilst we may sell hobbs & hyppia, amorebieta would probably cost more than they would bring in, and given the financial situation at present, this would seem unlikely.  thoughts?

Amorebieta is a good player but the Fernando Amorebieta and Javi Martinez rumour was going around a while back, now that we have got Martin Skrtel the story is a non starter especially when we are skint.

Agger's the most gifted defender we've had in decades. I'd get rid of Carra and Skrtel well before I'd get rid of Agger. Will be our best defender if he isn't already. Don't know what you're on about.

i'd say most agree with you.  however, it's not clear that agger will have a long term future with us if either the career-ending injury or fall-out with the club rumours are true....

I love how ur judging Skrtel before u've even seen him kick a ball for Liverpool... He could be twice the player Agger is for all we know! Then again he could be another Paletta, but one thing's for certain, it's plain wrong to make an assumption like the one u just made

And where have these Agger fallout rumours come from?  :wave
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Great anti climax for those expecting jizzihno....

What assumption?, all he said is he would rather see Skrtel go than Agger.

Skrtel could easily turn out to be top draw....possibly, Agger is top class and we know that, dont see any assumptions of Skretls ability in his post.

Haha. Since when has Agger fallen out with the club? You're talking out of your arse, kid. Agger was our player of the year last year, IMO. If he wasn't injured at this point of time I could almost guarantee we'd be in a better position league wise than we are now.

22 years old built like a brick shit house as daft as fuck, I have to say I love it.

Hold on, hold on.  I said that there were rumours that he had fallen out with the club, an alternative one was that his injury was career threatening.

Nobody is denying he's our best defender, rather we'd all like to see him back on the field to put those rumours to bed.

Why would we be interested in a CB now? Doesn't make sense.

He can play lb aswell as cb, so it would be good back up for both postions if it happened

Is Agger out for the remainder of the season , heard Martin Tyler say so a few minutes after the match began.

Can anyone confirm this?
