He hasn't progressed really.  A couple of years back he looked really promising but has stagnated.

Would be absolutely gutted for him. Would also mean that Baio would be the only recognizable DM in the u18s and reserves.

Ahh - I think I get it. He basically means the opposite of congrats?

yeah that's pretty much it. funny little phrase. can be used like if your mate does a load of stepovers in a 5aside match, might say 'sorry about you thinking your cristiano fucking ronaldo!'
I think I may be turning gay. That back heel & through ball to Enrique made me jizz like Ive never jizzed before. My fiancee has got some serious work to do if she wants to get me as excited as I do about Coutinho.

Wouldn't see the point in letting him go permanently. He's never played a competitive first team game and is still a teenager. We'll get very little money for him now.

Would have been easy to give up on Carragher at the same sort of age. Coady's the type of person who's will to win and character could see him becoming at least a squad player in the future if he does develop well. Look at Spearing.

He needs to go out on loan anyway next season. But we may as well loan him out and see how he does.

I don't get to watch the young lads that much, but everyone I've spoken to recently about him has said this recently. Bit of a shame really. Seems like quite a few of the other lads are really standing out and coming into their own while he's not.

Selling Coady might not be such a good idea. We need to give him more time to develop and prove himself. He hasn't progressed as expected but he is no way a lost cause.

True, I am still of the feeling we should not sell him. Too early for that.

Conflicting reports over whether it was that 'Josh' fella.

He was unfortunate last season in the reserves and Next Gen that he never really had a good partner in the all-important midfield 2 of the 4-2-3-1. Michael Roberts and Roddan aren't great talents. He would have been better off alongside Baio or Lussey last season. Or Texiera if he was fit.

I wouldn't even judge Coady alongside Roberts as they're too similar. Let's see how he does alongside Teixeira.

What does he mean when saying "sorry"? That Raz-lad not been accepted or something?

It's kind of sarcastic in a "I'm sorry that you're so good and feel the need to tell everyone how good you are" kind of thing if that makes sense?

Wouldn't surprise me Coady going.....Watched him for Eng and LFC.....Best way to describe him is languid!!
Never struck me as one who will make it at the top. I think because he has a scouse accent everyone jumped on the band wagon and thought he was going to be the next Stevie G.
He may well have captained England U17s and LFC U18s, but remember, so did a certain David Raven!!

Big day for the players we've followed in this thread over the last few years. Adorjan and Morgan getting a first chance in the side. Suso to get more than his 93 seconds as a Liverpool player.

Enjoy it boys.

Exactly how I feel.  I hope McLaughlin gets minutes too.  I guess we had to play Carra, but I wish we'd played Wisdom and Sama at CB with McLaughlin at RB for the first half.  Oh well haha.

Really happy with the mix of players. Carra cops a bit but Wisdom & Sama will learn from playing beside him. Experienced midfield and inexperienced attack means we can control games and give the kids opportunity to play.

Great first half from LFC, 75+ % of possession. Pacheco Aquilani and Enrique the standouts. Lets see what the 2nd half team does. Oh and the Ref sucks

I thought Enrique was pretty poor for the first twenty minutes.

Ibe and Pacheco the standouts for me.

Pacheco, Ibe and Wisdom best of the bunch so far.  Think Andy can still play a role this season.

pacheco has looked good, pick of the bunch from the younger lads in the first half.

also ibe has been doubled up on at almost every opportunity so its been difficult for the lad, plus he's been fouled a few times and nothing has been given.
