Massive, massive game this.
I think however, that if the boys approach it professionally and without too many nerves or pressure we've got enough to beat these at home. to be honest they weren't that great at their place - their first goal was lucky. Carra and Sami will have to look for those balls down the side, and our FB's will have to be on their game..
Think Rafa was clever in trying to take some of the presure off -
"Rafael Benitez insists it will not be 'the end of the world ' if Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages but is confident his side can turn their fortunes around if they show the right belief".
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N157573071104-1106.htmThink we need to play an attacking line up, as they will sit back and wait to hit us on the break (since they know we need to win it). Would go with:
-------------Reina------------
Arbeloa-Carra-Sami-Aurelio
-----------Masch-------------
-----Gerrrard-Lucas---------
------Babel--Benayoun-----
----------Crouch--------------
Bench:
Itandje, Hobbs, Riise, Momo, Kewell, Kuyt, Voro
May look similar to the team that drew at Ewood, but I reckon the diofferences are important - Arbeloa and Aurelio are better going forward and we can use them to give us width in the attack - something I think we lacked against Blackburn. Lucas offers more in possession than Momo - and I think we will have plenty of possession. Crouch can hold the ball up better than Kuyt and bring the likes of Babel, Lucas, Gerrard and Benayoun into play.
Kewell to come on second half if needed.
