The fact that they had had just over 2,000 more than us was well enough to warrant stick.  Why not?  If a player was a homosexual we'd sing and mock him.  If a player shags members of his family we would.  If Liverpool wasn't a Scouse club we'd sing about Scousers never getting jobs.  You give it and you take it with the opposition fans.  "Part time supporters", "Shall we fill a stand" and "You're supposed to be at home" were all well deserved by them ... I mean even the Blues had more at thier game.

Here here!

Does this mean 'stand up if you hate man u' is off the song sheet a week sunday because it may upset them you know!

I'm with Eric on this. Can't see why we(or rather you) should sing about a player whos not picked, inless he's injured!
There was a fine mod, name of Pheeny
Who'd ne'er be seen dead in a beany
He'd go for long runs
To tone abs, thighs and buns
And his moustache was far, far from teeny

very true, some of the simple chants are the best, as long as they're nice and original.

I don't know why but I really can't stand 'when the reds go marching in.'

Your not the only one Tom, I fuckin hate it when it gets sung about 10 times pre match. It was a classic on the Kop in the 70's and 80's apparently.

It's true about their fans but I actually like Ewood Park. I've been impressed with it the two times I've been this season. I thought last nights atmosphere was better than the first encouter this season. What could I sing instead good ground no fans  :)

anybody else's throat sore?  got home at after 3 this morning since we had the long trek back to glasgow - an 'out of towner' = don't you fucking start....

thought it was an excellent night.  good laugh on the journey down, into the beer tent in the fernhurst (nice touch), bit of sing-song and into the ground.

from the moment i saw those furry animals walking bout the pitch i should have knew this was going to be a cracker.

NOTE:  god spare us the sight or sound of ever seeing/hearing furry mascots walking round the pitch at Anfield or the sound of some people banging drums trying to get a sing-song started.

those who travelled last night done themselves and Liverpool proud.  good humoured and sang almost completely throughout the game (bar pausing for breath of course....).

as for the above comments of what we should sing and what we shouldn't = ffs, so not only should we complain about the lack of singing but we should also complain about what is sung....   :but  how about we just stick to going to the games and singing FULL STOP.  obviously a related song to the match proceedings would be nice but ffs.  so now we can't take the piss out of a shite home support?  after the bastards robbed us £23 to get in?  thought it was brilliant getting the 'stick the s*n' and 'souness, whats the score' chants going.  well done to those that started the 'JUSTICE' chants - unfortunately not all latched onto that one.

the sight of seeing thousands of Reds bouncing about in a stand after the opposition had scored was a sight to behold!!  found mysef laughing in work today after that memory came back!

overall - a great night, a victory, Hamman is back, Emile with 2 goals... and the Reds back in voice

heres to the next one.....

 ;D

Thought we lot were spot on last night with the vocals but very disappointed with some fans in the tent at the Fernhurst before the game - Munich song and Shipman song out of order.

Those sorts of chants are disgusting and is the part of football I really dislike. If people sang those songs in the ground would they be thrown out of stand by the stewards.

Because to me singing about deaths is disgusting. To me it's just as bad as racism thats how strong I feel about it. I just think if you sang those sick songs infront of a steward you should be ejected. It's effensive, tasteless and just sick. I don't care if their Liverpool fans, Man Utd whatever they are sick bastards. Thats my opinion.

Do you ever laugh at jokes about dead people?  Did you laugh at a joke told to you about Diana?

Now, I don't sing Munich but I don't think there's many people who have never joined in when pissed or whatever, or even laughed at a song.  Like when your mate tells you a joke in the worst taste possible and you can';t help but laugh.

I wouldn't sing Munich now, but admit I have in the past.  When you see the loss that Liverpool Fc has suffered and the vile songs by Blues about it, it doesn't seem right, to me anyway.

But I don't think a few naughty songs are on a par with discriminating against someone because of their colour.

It was great to go to a game when you're walking out of the ground and your lad say's what a brilliant atmosphere it was tonight dad, and I just think almost every game was like that in the 70's home and away. Will those days come back for good?

Old anny road enders i presume

Them munich songs still get sung, like kotc said it was load at old trafford last year with some moody lads singing it, the harold shipman song was heard on the telly it was so load, only a matter of time before songs we dont want to hear get sung at Anfield by them c*nts, but some people arent arsed just as long as they sing about munich!

Anyone ever tried to tell the ones singing it to shutup cos youll get a smack if you do

At Cardiff last year, outside the ground before the game there was a large group of reds singing loud & proud, and getting lots of attention from radio / tv.

However, during this they then decided to give a rendition of the Munich song, followed by the Shipman song, and then followed straight after that with 'Justice'.

Now, we all know how difficult it is to continue to try and educate people about the injustices of '89 and push for the real truth to out. That is why this type of behaviour is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable.

I bet everyone sung "We are the famous Kopites", and "Those were the days".  Personally I find the whole Kop experience embarising at the moment apart from a few occasions in a few sections.  I hate the whole "We are the famous, the famous Kopites" shite because lets face it there's nothing at all famous about the Kop.
