Gerrard getting more into this. They've parked the bus though

"You have to admire animals. Hamster spun round in a wheel three times bigger than him and abruptly lands on his back. Then just gets up and carries on as if nothing happened! If that was a human he'd be helicoptered to hospital, off work for 6 months have back issues for 20 years and then start legal proceedings against the wheels owner"

I really thought we had a chance this season...

and we did - but, I hate to say it, the teams confidence in the league looks to have been destroyed by the two goalless draws...

another reason to keep playing your best team when winning games - if they keep winning the confidence is high. Few changes, few 0-0 draws, and the team start to believe they're not going to score...

Given that Wigan should have awarded at least once we should consider ourselves lucky to be 0-0. Players need to look at themselves regardless of the final result as this level of performance is unacceptable. We still haven't improved significantly in midfield in terms of creativity, which the manager needs to try to remedy in the January transfer window.

Watch him bring Voronin on for Pennant shortly. Just to use Kuyt down the wing. Because Kuyt, as everyone knows, plays down the wing better than Penannt.

Lack of a natural left-winger does cost us but we need more from the center, maybe Gerrard should go back to the right with a free role
