Just missed the start of it so I'm going to watch the replay later (even though I'm no fan of French football). Apparently the atmosphere is usually rather heated. Should be interesting.

Better than Lee Dixon on MotD2 anyways.

Thank you everyone for the welcome  ;)

We had a really poor game against Paris. 1-1 at the end... Cissé scored, Zenden stayed on the bench

Our season starts with a lot of difficulties, 7 points in 7 games    :-X

He scored 20 goals during the half season with us last year, all competitions included  ;)

If the team plays well, with speed and for him, I think that he is the best striker in the French championship

But the are not many great strikers in France, maybe Milan Baros  ;D  ;D

Just got back from the match, not an exciting game but atmosphere was good and very loud. Digard from Paris reminds me of a young Steven Gerrard. He should be in the France national team in a year time... if he keeps improving.
I'm not really impressed by Marseille this season. You can tell they really miss Ribery. All good for us when we play them next month!

I went to Marseille for the UEFA Cup game the other year.

The Marseille fans couldn't have been friendlier to us in the Marseille Bar by the harbour before the game. Good atmosphere inside the ground too.

Also met some Marseille fans the night before the game who had drove down from somewhere in the north of France for the game. I remember one of them giving my mate some type of ID card with his address & phone number on it and said "you, me, lifetime friends now". I think you would have to be there but we found it particually funny at the time

Ginsters?

If only.

I did the "drink loads of water before you go to bed" trick and regretted it when I woke up more pissed than when I went to sleep.   Mixing it with Chateauneuf de Pape was not a top tip either.   :puke2

Oh and decent food to be bought from a caravan outside the ground too, but I will let Spartacus tell that one.

Chop chop.

Police checks and cordons underneath the stadium were all a bit tedious so don't plan on making a late dash onto the terraces.

How are Bolo's Golden locks treating you??

He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Welcome. Some points i want to point out about L'OM.
1)The only player i like from Marseille is Nasri.
2)I thought this year was your chance to do something better in the Championnat(i.e. winning it) but your start is very very poor. The most dissapointing thing is that you don't take advantage of Lyon's defeats as they are in a complete mess as it seems(end of an era there surely) and  a ghost of  last year's champions
3)Cisse is useless generally but he'll score goals in the league.Zenden is a finished footballer and i really doubt he can help you a lot.
4)What did the club do with the money they got from Ribery's sale?
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

what do you mean by "golden locks" ? his haircut ?

by the way Bolo has had a difficult start in this season, he is not even playing... It seems that he has difficulties to be fit enough to play 90 minutes...

I hope he'll be able to get back to the pitch real soon

4)What did the club do with the money they got from Ribery's sale?

We bought :
Cissé, no need to develop  ;)
3 defenders : Jacques Faty (former french u 21) ; Gael Givet (french international former captain of Monaco) ; Laurent Bonnart (former Le Mans captain)
2 midfielders : Karim Ziani (best player of Sochaux, but crap since the beginning...) ; Benoït Cheyrou (former captain and best player of Auxerre)
1 keeper : Steve Mandanda. When we lost Carrasso on injury for 6 months, we had some doubts about him. But he's brilliant  :)

I'm almost sure we still have money from Ribéry's sale, and from Beye's one also, but it seems the staff did not choose to spend it over this summer. They made the mistake with Drogba's sale and we still regret it   :no

People feared problems because of what happened during the world cup and the game England-Tunisia, but in the last years we played Liverpool, Newcastle and Bolton and it was good friendship  ;)

3 english teams, 3 qualifications, great succes   ;D [/borat]

Zenden is the question mark of the beginning of this season...

It looks like he is not ready yet, not at 100%

But our coach don't know how to get the best of the players   ???
