Adidas Limited edition Liverpool Boots
« on: July 3, 2007, 10:27:55 PM »
Adidas have decided to create a special football boot for the most successful teams in Europe.

Teams who have won the competition 5 or more times will have this boot released.

I've only seen the Liverpool boot via a contact in the adidas factory in Germany but Madrid and AC will have a boot produced. (Madrid will have an all white boot and AC will have Red and Black coloured boots)

These boots will go on sale in late Sept and I've no idea of price.

Just thought I'd give people a sneek preview of these boots as I've searched the net for them and can't find any other pictures.  They look the business.

That's class. Could also give shit to the Mancs for not having them also.

I'd get a pair if I hadn't already found F50+ boots to be really uncomfortable. Nike should make them for my legends!

Indeed. I hate football boots that have colors others than black anyway, but those boots look absolutely shocking... ;)

Although they are flashy, it would nice to tell the story of how you came about buying them to some of your mates who support teams without the European pedigree of Liverpool's.

Just point them to the dates on the inside of the boot or the 5 stars beside the tongue.

Maybe Nike will commemorate the two time winners with a pair of shin pads with a star on each.  Notts Forest would be over the moon.

Indeed, have worn World up and Copa Mundail for years. Looking forward to buying a new pair this coming season, but at 32 you do wonder. On the  Liverpoolboots, truly hideous.

They might actually look good if they had the Liverbird instead of the crest on the tongue...

Other than that, I can see people taking the piss with Wizard of Oz related jokes (God help Kewell if he decides to wear them... wonder if Gerrard will...)

Would Adidas be able make people wear them? I know Gerrards contracted to them, guessing there is at least another 5+ in the same boat.

Just wondering who decides which Adidas boot they wear.

There the real deal to be honest.  Sent out from the German Adidas factory as testers.  Glad I didn't invest in these babies by the responses here.

There mean't to be some new material that moulds perfectly in the shape of your foot.  Wouldn't be a whizz on Football Boot technology but this may be a first in a boot.  Mould to your foot ala a cyclist shoe.

Don't worry about it mate ;) ... It's usually the old farts who have a problem with colourful boots. If you are flashy on the pitch then what's wrong with having flashy football boots? ... Always makes me laugh seeing some fat trout sporting flashy boots thinking they are the next Ronaldinho though.

And one time winners can have a commemorative jock strap and cup.  Can't leave Aston Villa out

It would be a nice change to sport a new cup for Villa to be honest.

Maybe a small parade around the city would be in order.

Is it just me or is Adidas conveniently the kit maker for the 5 teams in question?

Real Madrid
AC Milan
Ajax

They'd be a nice little souvenir/keepsake, but you'd look like a complete tool wearing them.

I can imagine JAR taking a liking to them though, he's already got the LFC sweatband so he just needs to complete the set.

Maybe Adidas only sponsor the biggest and best teams.  ;)

Liverpool - most successful team in England
Madrid - most successful team in Spain
Munich - Most successful team in Germany
Ajax - Most successful team in Holland
AC Milan - Most successful team in Italy if the refs weren't corrupt

I'm sure it's obviously got something to do with Adidas being the kit sponsors but seems a nice touch to produce a boot for the hardest club to get into.

Crap photo. The first photo is really bad quality. The one of teh stars on the side of the boot gives a better impression of the red color of the boot.

I'd be very wary. Look what happened to Spiderman, with his new black suit. Just stick to the football son.
